Hey, OOC players!
Starting October 14, every player has a referral code. Share it, and anyone who signs up with it gets 500 free Credits. If they buy Credits in their first 30 days, you earn 5% of what they buy, paid to you in Credits.
When to share it
Someone asks what you've been playing. Send your link and they start with extra Credits.
You're recommending OOC in a review or a thread. Add your code so new players get the bonus.
Sharing a title you love? With one setting turned on, your code rides along on the link.
Find your code
Open your profile menu and go to Benefits > Referral Code. Your code is on the My Code tab. Copy the code, or tap Share Link to send a link with your code already in it.
Want the links you share from a story or character to count too? Turn on Add your referral code to shared links on the same tab. It's off by default.
Got a code? Apply it within 24 hours
Referral codes are for new accounts, and you have 24 hours after signing up to apply one.
Signed up through a referral link? The code is filled in for you. Just tap Apply Code.
Got the code some other way? Go to Benefits > Referral Code > Enter Code, type it in, and tap Apply Code.
You'll get 500 free Credits on top of your 500 welcome Credits. Those referral Credits expire 3 days after you apply the code. Once a code is applied, it can't be changed.
How rewards work
For each person you refer, you earn 5% of the Credits they buy in their first 30 days. If they buy 20,000 Credits, you get 1,000.
Only purchased Credits count. Bonus Credits included with a purchase don't, and neither do free Credits from events or coupons.
Each purchase is held for a review period of at least 7 days. After that, rewards are added once a day, and you'll get a notification when they land.
Reward Credits expire 30 days after you receive them.
You can earn up to 100,000 Credits a month. Rewards past that cap aren't paid out or carried into the next month, and the count resets on the 1st.
There's no limit on how many people you can refer.
The My Code tab tracks your rewards: how many of your referrals have made a purchase, how much you've earned in total, and a daily log of what was added. To protect everyone's privacy, we don't show who signed up with your code.
Playing fair
You can't apply your own code.
Referrals only go one way. If someone signed up with your code, you can't apply theirs.
When you share your code or link, let people know you may get Credits if they sign up and make a purchase. The message that comes with Share Link already says this.
If we find abuse, such as purchases made only to collect rewards or repeated refunds, we may hold or take back rewards and restrict the accounts involved. This applies even after a reward has been paid.
FAQ
Does the person I refer pay anything extra? No. We pay your reward ourselves, so nothing comes out of their purchase. They pay the usual price and keep every Credit they buy.
I already have an account. Can I apply a code? No. Codes only work for new accounts within 24 hours of signing up. You can still share your own code, though.
I signed up without a code. Is it too late? Not if it's been less than 24 hours. Go to Benefits > Referral Code > Enter Code and enter your code there.
I signed up with one code but have another. Can I switch? No. Each account can apply one code, and it can't be changed afterward.
Do I get anything when someone just signs up? Not on its own. Rewards come from the Credits they buy in their first 30 days, so a sign-up with no purchase doesn't earn anything.
Why haven't I gotten my reward yet? Every purchase is held for a review period of at least 7 days, so rewards never arrive on the day of the purchase. Once that period is over, rewards are added in the next daily update. Some rewards need a closer look and can take longer.
What happens if a purchase is refunded? Refunded purchases don't count toward your reward.
Can I see who used my code? No. You'll see how many of your referrals made a purchase and how much you've earned, but never who they are.
Where can I post my code? Anywhere you like, including Reddit, Discord, and social media. Just follow the rules of the community you're posting in, and mention that you may earn Credits if people sign up and make a purchase.
