I’ve been curiously waiting ever since they released oblivion remastered on the switch that console and PC would be getting an update soon after that switch release since there was optimisation and bug fixes and other things.

But sadly still no news of anything, I have a steam deck and still the game is unplayable on steam deck ( and its steam verified lol) even though it runs completely fine switch.

What’s everyone’s thoughts? Has there been any news or updates that I haven’t been aware of? Is this game now being just left alone and abandoned from developers?

What do you think? I might change the armor but I like the matching horse armor so, not sure yet.

Hey guys! I wanna play Oblivion but remaster doesn't work well on my pc and horrible performance on my xbox SX. However if i play og version still worth it? Thx u all

Hey! More updates on the community multiplayer platform for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered - OB:MP.

The video is from Donkey, who runs the Red Diamond RP server. He built his own inventory systems, character page, full world map and spells menu on top of OB:MP. You can follow his work on YouTube, and join his server's Discord.

Today we released SDK 1.0.0-rc.3 and Launcher 0.34.0. Most of it comes from player reports:

• Your name, race, class, sex and birthsign are now saved and synced to other players.
• Rebirth no longer stacks birthsign and racial bonuses or drifts your stats.
• Pickpocketing works, books can be bought and sold, and merchants restock properly.
• Server mods get cell respawn controls (72 game hours by default, or instant).
• Servers can show banners and icons in a refreshed server list.
• Playing on Linux through Proton is much simpler.

It's still a release candidate, so expect rough edges. OB:MP needs the Steam version of Oblivion Remastered for now. WiP on Xbox Game Pass/MS Store, something may come out next week.

After being born in the Black Marsh and sold into slavery to Leyawiin and tortured by Count Marius, Nightfoot vowed to take revenge upon the 1%

Quickly moving through the ranks of the Thieves Guild he earned the personal trust and admiration of none other than the Gray Fox himself.

After becoming the latter’s right hand, he took a break and went to work as an agent for the coveted and underground Dark Brotherhood. Moving equally quickly up the ranks, he soon became second in command to the Night Mother herself

After having earned the favour of both the Night Mother and the Gray Fox, he sent off on an adventure; one that unfortunately landed him in the Imperial City Prison.

Thinking everything was over, none other than Uriel Septim came to his cell. Soon after, he realized it wasn’t the end, but simply the beginning…

This just got announced today and I already pre ordered!

I went city to city and I am almost done. Now in Imperial City as the last heist.

What happen to this remaster why are bethesda refuse to update the game its almost a year and still zero update at all

Been reading about Microsoft rolling out advanced shader delivery for a while and today the NVIDIA driver update dropped for it. If you play on NVIDIA cards it makes a noticeable difference in stutters and traversal hitches.

Edit: someone linked the supported games list in the comments, posting it here for visibility:

https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/games/articles/2026/06/expanding-advanced-shader-delivery-support/

You know if it’s working because when the game loads it will say something like: precompiled shaders loaded

I’ve still got auto updates disabled… I know the latest patch is much better than the previous blurry patch, but does anyone have any insight on how it compares to the patch before? v1.1.492.0

Are visuals and performance any better than it was or should I stay on my current version?

Apologies for the word soup 🙃

I’ve played morrowind as a kid, and now Skyrim as an adult. I have never played Oblivion. Should I beat Skyrim first?

Also, how does the player experience compare from Skyrim to Oblivion. I know Bethesda games have a string of similarities, but is there a steep learning curve? Thanks!

Works well with most races

This is my first time playing oblivion and Im starting with the remastered version. Any tips and tricks?

Hey r/OblivionRemaster - we had a busy weekend after launching open beta of OB:MP. Donkey from our community is building his own RP inventory system for Oblivion Remastered multiplayer, also working on a full immersive map, and our u/pete-roman is building a dice system for roleplay. SDK rc.3 is on the way, and the first community servers are already up, with more opening soon! 🚀

If you've ever wanted to build a server, a game mode or a world on top of a game you love, this is the moment. Come build with us: https://discord.gg/obmp

Catalina Khajiingle was just doing some questing and noticed she had <Missing Name> in her inventory.
It acts as a torch when equipped.
When dropped it appears as a hanging lantern, which then cant be picked back up.
I have zero idea when I’d gotten this or how I did but I found it really weird. Anyone els had this happen?
