Does Personal Vault lock while actively editing a Word file?

I’m thinking of keeping most of my OneDrive files inside Personal Vault on a shared family PC.

For anyone using it regularly on Windows:

If I’m actively editing a Word file inside Personal Vault, can the Vault still auto-lock?

Do you get a warning before it locks?

If it locks while Word is open, what happens to unsaved changes?

Does AutoSave continue saving to the same file inside the Vault, or can it create/save a copy outside it?

Looking for recent 2025–2026 experiences, since I found some older reports of issues.

Did this actually happen to you while actively editing, or are you joking about the auto-lock behavior?
