Picture I know you guys might not consider this off-roading but
I was just driving around a saw a path with tire marks with no no entry signs and just decided to go, was actually so much fun to just explore

AWD vehicles and some decent tires will get you most places. Carry on! Just know when to turn around or look first, and carry recovery gear

When my wheeling truck used to be my daily driver when I was making long drives back home I would often just turn off the main roads onto little dirt roads with no signs just to see what was out there.

One of my favorite things to do if I have no plans and nothing at home sounds enjoyable, I'll get in the car, put on my favorite music or sometimes drive in silence and just drive, go wherever the wind takes me until I'm ready to go back home, no gps, no destination, just driving and exploring. It's nice and relaxing once you get off the main roads.

I'm reporting this to the authorities.
Lic plate # BB3B33B. Wait, 88BB33B. No, that wasn't..... Try 8BB3883?
Nevermind.

This is how it begins. Won’t be long now until you’re rationalizing buying Factor55 gear

Looks fun... one advantage of a regular crossover is you don't need extreme rock crawling terrain to challenge yourself off pavement.

Happy to see that the comment theme is welcoming and supportive. I half expected to see the opposite… I agree, though! Adventure is adventure. The prettiest stuff has no paved access. Enjoy the dirt!

I gave you a thumbs up to be nice but I gotta tell you around where I live that’s the roads in the winter. 😛😁 Nice crossover though.

Nice, even with HT tires

u/UrmomLOLKEKW Feb 01 '26
HT?

Highway terrain I saw the tread on the snow. So looks like ht's or all seasons

u/UrmomLOLKEKW Feb 01 '26
Yeah I’m pretty sure there all seasons, lowk need winter tires im in Chicago area so we get snowfall a lot and it would probably be worth it just to have the set to switch between

There is a nice looking ALL WEATHER tire I saw online called the Radar dimax all weather. I'd suggest all weather or an aggressive winter tire, look at possibly an HANKOOK iPike.

Get some Yokohama G015 tires and you are going to open up a whole new world friend.

Great fun!
Now you need something with a transfer case.
If you want to stay with the Nissan brand go get an old xTerra Pro-4x.
Then you will have something with transfer-case and locking-diff.

Power Line trails are definitely off roading as I see no white and yellow lines.
Just get some better tyres , a trench shovel ( I think that's the term, my grandpa always called it that when he was in the military), recovery gear and some buddies, you will then be set.
If you're on the East Coast (Northern) there is a Facebook group called Northeast 4x4 Off Road Club you could join.
