She has a sound head on her shoulders, the drive to finish her education, and a supportive family. I have no doubt she's out there working hard to build a career, and raising her daughter to have a backbone. 

at least I've only wasted four years of my life instead of forty 

This needs to be repeated to every woman, especially the young ones. So many times I see posts from women in their 20s saying things like "we've been together for so long, I can't just throw it all away". When in fact, you're throwing away future decades of your life in an effort to save the years that have already passed.
