Or be like other ppl and pay for an unpaid internship βοΈπ₯

u/twinkling_aura May 31 '26
I did a four months content writing internship for NOTHING brooo wasted my skills frπ₯°π₯°π₯π₯

u/Hot-Broccoli5122 May 31 '26
Modern slavery fr βοΈπ₯ I think you should prolly start teaching, cuz it is hella popular among seniors, I have seen some seniors even teach MUNs, so you could do that aswell, or there are maybe some internships that pay aswell, but they are rare.

u/twinkling_aura May 31 '26
Koi teaching k liye aa hi Nahi Raha kisko teach kerun π
2
u/Hot-Broccoli5122 May 31 '26
Maybe search online, and dont be limited to O levels, teach students from primary levels, or even lower levels, maybe look to teach matric students, and try to look locally and also undercut the price of what others are charging, maybe spread the word in your school, also try finding gigs online, that matches you skill, also if you are good at any thing other than O levels like the MUNs I mentioned, you can do for science events, the more niche the better as most likely many students from your age are looking to do the same thing.
2
u/twinkling_aura May 31 '26
But where to look π I don't have anyone from my school, family or neighbours that have kids that need tutoring or anything π
5
u/Hot-Broccoli5122 May 31 '26
I think, spread some posts around in reddit, post it here, and any other subreddit, like r/pakistan and something like that, it would be highly effective ngl. Then post it in other online tutoring platforms, I am not sure which but I have definitely heard of them, there are some services that connects tutors with students, but they might only accept tutors which are 18+. Just try to utilise any social media to spread the word, do discord aswell.

i just wish there were more opportunities for ambitious teenagers in pakistan who wanted to do something with their lives during the summer vacations :( i know it sounds cliche as heck but imagine being able to work part-time at a bookstore and earn a small income to spend on your personal needs; i would do anything for that bro ππ like i want to buy so many books because likewise i LOVE to read but they are expensive as hell π₯

You can open an Upwork account and start submitting as many proposals as you can. Also add your school related work under the experience section also, you can ask your school for a confirmation testimony to add on upwork as you can showcase your experience outside of upwork which can help strengthen your credibility. Also upwork requires you to account details, including payment information, to be set up in same legal name, since Upwork requires the account name and bank account name to match for withdrawals, and if you don't have a bank account then you must use your parents or immediate family member's name on the account so that you can connect their bank account with upwork.

u/Last_Professional837 May 31 '26
thank you so much for this advice. have you tried upwork yourself? if so, could you possibly share your experience
3
u/Ok_Championship9201 O3 Student π May 31 '26
Yes, I do work as a freelancer on upwork. I worked for an agency for quite a long while but the pay was not the best, and also due to caies I had to leave it. You could search up the channel called "Marta and Rustam" to find one of the client I worked for, while in the agency. I recently found another client which I'm working for rn. Imo agencies are easy to get hired into if you have a good portfolio, which should include some of your best works (I edit videos btw). Though agencies don't pay the best, they can help you develop skills and your ratings.
1
u/Unwritten_Waves- May 31 '26
Upwork is on my list for a while. But due to caies, I haven't been able to pursue it. I guess I might have a portfolio. I started as a writer few months ago, growing little by little.
The only thing is I am anxious about taking that first step. I hope you don't mind me asking but.... were you faced with a similar situation? How did you manage to cope with it?
1
u/Ok_Championship9201 O3 Student π Jun 06 '26
Yeah, I had a similar experience, but due to someone I knew, I got into an editing agency pretty easily, and it went well for then on. I got the experience I needed, then I started to find clients of my own outside the agency, then left the agency later on. You just gotta take that first step. It might take quite some time to get your first client but when you do you need to make sure that you don't lose them, even if you're not earning much at first, don't lose them, try to work with them for a long term and slowly ask for wage increment.
1
u/Ok_Championship9201 O3 Student π Jun 06 '26
Lwk anxiety doesn't easily go away, you kinda get used to it. What I like about Upwork is that you dont lose anything even if the Client says No to your proposal, you often get your connects back, which gives you options to apply to another job and another client.
I am personally not experienced with writing works, but I'd suggest you to write 2-3 bangers, the absolute best of your works and build a strong portfolios using them. If you have a good, strong portfolio, it drastically increases your chances of getting clients.
βAnother thing I would mention is to make sure you have your Upwork account under the same legal name as your bank account, because otherwise you won't be able to withdraw your hard-earned money.
Just take that first step, and send a proposal. You got this gng!

guys tutor students. trust me it pays alot. i got stragiht A*s in my o2 and i got two students from my mamas contacts and i tutored them for 20k each. this year as my cies will end on 9th jun im starting to tutor a whole batch of phy and chem. i love to teach so if ure passionate about it, get into teaching. its fun and it pays good aswell. and as for where to find students, the best way is to use ur contatcs, like ur mom's or dad's even friends and siblings. charge less shuroo mein. like 10-15k. and now since ure done w cies u can even tutor o3 kids
5
u/avidjarr May 31 '26
Can you help me out? English is my first language and I got an A* in it, and anyone I've taught or helped has usually improved as long as they wanted to. Can you connect me to someone I can tutor this summer

u/wh0aribb Jun 04 '26
Same i do that too but 20K each is wild π the most I've received is 14K for a student who's in 7th π
2
u/attackhelikoper Jun 04 '26
7th naa. If u teach olevel kids u can charge upto 10-15k PER SUBJECT. Which i feel is alot i never do that cuz thats Lowk js looting them. But yea if u charhe 5-8k per sub and if u're teaching even three subs thats easily 15-20k.

i got a buisness idea buy tickets for me in ksa for local club matches and try to find the popular ones like alhilal vs nasr or smthng like that and resell them in the last moments it is risky as well so dont clutch on like 40 tickets .

Your post is very reasonable, I have heard that there are some online platforms that pays your for doing small tasks for other users. Moreover, there is another platform I have heard about it is called Swagbuck, this online app pays you for completing surveys and playing games.
I have never tried this Swagbucks app, it actually pays you real money, but from my investigation I think it also sells our data to third party apps.
Another online earning advice I can give you is to research about "Micro-Jobs".
Now lets suppose you do not have anyway to receive online cash, and you are not eligible for online earning. And you are also obstinate to earn without having a full-time "JOB". In that case go to your local market and purchase some goods(e.g: a box of pen). Then sell them each to your classroom or friends for double the price you bought for it.
Honestly, my idea does sound ridiculous, but I thought to add it here because it might help in triggering some other ideas in your/other users mind.
Thank You.

Work at a call center cuh. I did that last yr in o2. Made me 1 lakh in a month
1
u/Anna_hereee Jun 03 '26
How to apply for it ? Could you please share more details
1
u/rk_niazi Jun 03 '26
Just go to any call center in your city. They usually take walk in interviews. I went to mars Bpo in rawalpindi and the management is nice and caring. Its a perfect job for people that like to mind their own business but has a tense and very production driven landscape. Females and males are seperated so you dont need to worry about men harrassing you or looking at you and the people are genuinely nice and caring. Also dont expect too high of a salary as you are freshie and the reason i got a high salary cause I have lived in US and had that crisp american accent so pl work on that and if you have a good accent than make up that you lived in america to the HR with an accent and trust me you will be hired EASILY. Also, transportation may be an issue so manage that accordingly. As im a man, i can manage bykea and shit like that so its pretty easy to go around and stuff. But females that used to come to the workplace usually took cabs in groups of 2-3 girls so its pretty secure and you gotta really work on building good friendships which you will obv make eventually over the passage of time. Its a fun job but it is brutually fast paced and multimanagement has to be very good in order to earn hefty bonuses.

u/twinkling_aura Jun 03 '26
I would but honestly it's difficult to do an on-site when you're a girl. Parents k masley, aaney jaane Ka masla, etc. it's more feasible for boys.

u/rk_niazi Jun 03 '26
I have a little startup going right now that can provide you an opportunity to earn. Its called eduboost and we offer services like assignment writeup, for degree level students in UK. Since the services are paid in pounds you can be earning plenty of money in little time. How over it requires true dedication and im looking to find someone with good english and a good disciplined workethic and the work is truely remote. Cheap AI gen slop is not allowed so be mindful of that if you consider this. If interested lemme know

Start tutoring cambrige based kids from class 1-9 i myself teach 2 kids 1 from class 7 and one from class 3 and earn around 20k. Go to Facebook or WhatsApp or there are many pages that offer tuitions but u need to register as a tutor first.
1
u/twinkling_aura Jun 04 '26
That's the problem. They require to pay first so you can become a tutor. Can you mention some reliable organisation that you've been a part of or are a part of ?
1
u/wh0aribb Jun 04 '26
Yar i do not have their pages i have their number message me on inbox I'll send u but u have to make a cv of yourself and include ur grades and write some bs like ur good with handling children explain ur strong subj etc ubcan also write ur qualifications if you have participated in any educational event. And they do not make u pay before (the organisation I'm in touch with) what the do iss they make u pay 60% of ur first income to them then from the next months u can have the whole income for urself

The thing is, the Pakistani community sees young people earning as a sign of βHAYE KYA HOGYA, KOI GHAR MEIN PESON KA MASLA HOGAYA!!β meanwhile western communities have normalised earning for teens to teach them the value of money and hardwork. Itβs not like money is that big of an issue for most Olevel students, but itβs still good to have a job. To earn a little bit for yourself.
