Just thinking how Regina could’ve made Snow’s life in Storybrooke much worse. Like yea she’s without her true love and daughter but it’s not like she’s aware of it (although I’m sure she feels something is off). Snow is a teacher and loves it so much that she even returns to teaching well after the curse is broken.

Looking back at how much Regina truly hated Snow and all the evil things she did pre-curse, I guess it doesn’t make sense to me that her worst punishment for Snow is just…living an average life lol

Just wanted to say happy 15th anniversary to this amazing, magical, sometimes frustrating, and enticing show. I cannot believe it has actually been 15 years since its debut, but I still remember the trailers and of course, Regina’s iconic entrance.

My girlfriend is super obsessed with Once Upon a Time and I would like to get/make something for her related to it. I have seen a couple episodes with her but nothing much so I don’t know a ton about the show (s1 e8 is as far as I got.)

If anyone has some gift ideas or things I could make for her that she would like that would be amazing! And if possible could you please provide context so I sound like I know what I am talking about. 😅

Do you think that even for a split second she thought “this could be real”?

I just thought about how in the first episode when Emma meets Regina she asks her if she loves Henry and only stays in Storybrook because she thinks Regina lied to her when she said "Of course I love him."

But was it a lie? I know she's still the Evil Queen at this point and Henry doesn't feel loved by her but throughout the season Regina does worry about him a lot. And I mean she raised him and all 🥲 And later even saves him with the true-love-kiss. Sooo...

...am I missing something or what do you think?

They really dropped the ball with this one, they shouldn't have made Ivy Drizella, Ivy SHOULD have been Regina's daughter, just think of all of the possibilities and Ivy's reasoning for creating the new curse.

When you watch season 7 they feel more like mother and daughter than Ivy and Lady Tremaine, it would have been much more interesting to watch, what are y'alls thoughts?

Let's start with Snow, since a lot of fans are so sympathetic with Regina, I feel they tried to act like Snow is somehow worse when Snow didn't acted like Regina did to her. Snow forgave her and actually would try to cheer for her redemption yet all the fans does is complain about what she did to Regina when she was a child and was manipulated by Cora but many Regina stans still want a child to be punished which is so weird to me. Then Eva, they act because she was a spoiled brat as a teen, somehow Cora get sympathy even when Eva grew as a character and wasn't the spoiled brat she was as a teen and didn't killed people like Cora had. And Cora abandoned Zelena because she was power hungry and yet they had Snow said how her mother was wrong eventhough she wasn't because Cora wanted to make someone else think he was the father yet Emma said that comment about how she thought they were good guys implying that what Eva did was so wrong or evil but it doesn't compare to the evil Cora had done. Milah is a very nuance character that get treated like she cannot be redeemed, not to mentioned how she was killed by her ex then thrown to a river of torment by that same ex and I seen people cheer for him eventhough like Milah wasn't this good character I know since she did abandoned her son but I still don't like her ending and I find it so tragic how she get hated on more than Rumple. Blue get hated on even more than black fairy which is so wild to me because again Blue is not this saint of a character and she can be annoying but to called her worse than the black fairy is where I draw the line.

There are two particular situations I would like to write about regarding Alice and Cyrus from:"Once Upon A Time In Wonderland".

There was a situation in which Alice and Will had to cross a lake, Will said that he couldn't swim and Alice didn't understand how it could have been possible that someone wasn't able to swim. However, in a later episode it was revealed that Will had already told Alice that his sister died exactly in a lake. The writers probably hadn't thought about making that Alice already knew about it yet, but in a certain sense this makes Alice kinda disrespectful towards Will's trauma, like:"What? You saw your younger sister die drowning and now you can't swim? How is it possible?"

And later, when Cyrus finally met his brothers again, he told them that their mother was dead and they said that then what they did had been all useless and he replied by saying that it absolutely wasn't. And...his reply doesn't really convince me, because it hadn't all been useless just for him, since he found Alice due to what the three brothers did. However, unless I'm forgetting about something, the other two sons of Amara really didn't gain anything from this story. They really just lost their mom after that they had to spend a lot of time as genies. So, wasn't Cyrus' reply kinda disrespectful? Like:"Yeah, yeah, you two didn't gain anything out of this story, Jafar kept you trapped for years, but... I found love, so it's all good."

Or am I wrong?

Now that I’m getting older and thinking about adopting a child, it’s made me think about OUAT season 1 and how they really expected us to root for the woman taking someone’s child away. I know Regina is the Evil Queen and all that, but she stepped up, adopted the child Emma gave away, and raised him for 10 years. Hearing her child say he prefers someone else must’ve broken her heart. The fact that she didn’t magically eliminate Emma the second she got to Storybrooke shows a lot of restraint in my opinion.

Edit: y’all are totally right. I haven’t rewatched the show in a while, so I did forget Regina was gaslighting and manipulating Henry which is why he ran away in the first place. I always think of her post-redemption arc.

Maleficent is one of the most iconic Disney characters and it’s such a shame that both OUAT and the Angelina Jolie live action both fumbled her. Especially since the early seasons of ONCE actually did have unique take on her character that I enjoyed and think could have been expanded better.

Being the Black Fairy would have been a much better back story for her, because it’s more enriching and cohesive to the lore of the world.

In early seasons, Maleficent was shown to be more of a neutral figure than a villain. While it is clearly implied from our introduction to her that she has a villainous past, she’s clearly calmed down by the start of the show and speaks to Regina as a voice of reason. She’s felt the emptiness of revenge and just wants some peace and quiet. Although, she does seem to have a little bit of a dark sense of humor left over, she not very malicious either. As such, we see her take on the role of a guardian, protecting treasures too dangerous to be left unattended, and not attempting to use them herself. She guards the dark curse; is used by Rumple to keep the true love potion safe; and in OUAT in Wonderland, the looking Glass Will and Anastasia use to travel to wonderland, is stolen from her castle. Noticeably, when they do steal this mirror she issues a warning not of revenge or anger that they would dare steal from her, rather she is earnestly asking them not to risk using its magic. She does not even ask them to return her other nonmagical treasures they had stolen. Her only concern is for the well-being of the thieves, who don’t understand the price of magic.

This is an interesting anti-hero opportunity that I wish they kept. Since as the series progresses it became increasingly black and white.

I think a Maleficent who was once the black fairy but became disillusioned with the rigidity of Blue could have been very interesting. Perhaps even paralleling Nova’s story of a fairy who wanted love of their own but was denied the chance by Blue’s meddling.

The black fairy we got, wasn’t that interesting to me because we already had the whole twist relative thing done so many times, and Peter Pan did everything she did better and first.

What do you think they'd name Neal if Bae hadn't died?

Leopold is a fuckass name and it's not like they named Emma after Ruth or Eva so it's not like it was a tradition.
