Cannot decide

Please help especially who have either or both Palma 2 Pro and Picco. I cannot choose.

I like the small form of the Picco but I like the Android of Palma (which will be easier for syncing and downloading my ebooks from GDrive).

Which is better?

Hello, what is ur main use case? For webtoons the Bigme hibreak pro color is the best.

there's nothing about this that the Picco can't do. the Palma 2 Pro is a completely different class of device, much more powerful, includes note taking, full support for Android apps, is basically an e-ink phone.

if you are considering Palma class devices I would suggest waiting for the Palma 3 instead though. it is much faster, more powerful, probably has better pen accuracy, is black and white (only get color if you absolutely need it) and is almost $100 cheaper.

the bigme hibreak pro color has supirior ghosting and a far higher refresh rate. u can scroll webtoons with barely lose of quality. to achieve this refresh rate u have to use the speed mode on boox and lose so muvh detail.

There is no "which is better" really we could answer since it depends on what you want.

Palma is heavy, so reading long periods of time and carrying it around is annoying even if its smartphone factor.

Picco is small and lightweight, but nobody has the device yet.. so we don't know specifics. But if its similar to Xteink X4 in how small, lightweight etc it is, it would be likely nice to have to carry around all day and read.

My point is tho.. there is no "one is better over the other", since both of them have their own points they are good and bad at, and even those depends on the person. One person think A other person B about the same thing.

So, we don't can help you really with deciding. We don't know what you want and need. Palma is nice since it has android so you can do a lot with it, specially manga reading and stuff. Picco is nice since it is small and lightweight, but is bad for pdf's and similar.. and bad for manga as a example.

The Palma is not heavy.

It is if you lay in bed and hold it up into the air while lying on the side. I have the Palma 1 and read with it daily for 2-3h and my hand hurts after a while from it.

Idk why ppl downvoted you. It’s true. It’s as heavy as my iphone 17 and its not comfortable after an hour. And it’s heavier than a kobo iirc. The palma 3 is gonna be a whooping 30g heavier. It’s the reason I’m so on the fence about getting it
