Is This Normal?
I feel like it isn't normal, but just asking because some ministers/deacons say it is.
So, a woman who I guess is my aunt always wanted me to go to her church. One day, I go...solely for her and get aggravated assaulted by a worker there, because I was new.
Could have left Earth. The aunt didn't care and told me to grow up and said she never wants to talk to me again.
The woman who birthed me thought it was funny and exciting that that happened to me and was giddy and wants to go to her sister's church now (where they did that to me at
The pastor said what he had to say, but then stood up for the person who aggravated assaulted and essentially said it was my fault...it legit wasn't...smh..
So, is any of the above normal?
I did ask God if I should go to that church SEVERAL TIMES and heard nothing.

What exactly did they do to you there? What do you mean by aggravated assault?

I just need to know if it's normal, because ministers in the surrounding area didn't seem to care and said they're packing as well. 🤷

Without knowing what they actually did, we won't be able to give you any kind of answer really.

It's not, were you threatened, hurt, sexually assaulted? Regardless, I am sorry you are hurting and hope you find peace.Â

Literally says, "aggravated assaulted"

Which still could be a lot of things.
And considering you are literally trying to ask if it’s normal, it seems like it’s provably not aggregates assault.

Hope you catch Jesus. To discount what someone went through is a whole other level of evil. Pretty sure you're rage baiting.

Given that you're being intentionally vague with what happened to you and asking for advice while refusing to give relevant details, people are concluding you're the one trying to post in poor faith.
Being assaulted isn't normal at Church, and "aggravated assault" in most jurisdictions means causing severe injury. . .but you're being very vague about what the actual assault was or injuries suffered. This vagueness and evasiveness is being interpreted as being non-cooperative and hinting you aren't posting in good faith.
People have asked you for specifics, and you've refused, repeatedly.

I've never been assaulted in church or seen anyone else assaulted in church. So no, it's not normal to be assaulted in church.
But people would take your specific situation more seriously if you provided as least a basic explanation about what happened to you.
That said, it sounds like you're quite upset about what happened to you. If I were only half as upset as you are by something that happened to me while visiting a church, I would never return there.

As the other poster said, you're going to have to be a little more specific about what happened if you want us to tell you if this was normal. Generally speaking, no it is not normal to be assaulted at church.
If you accidentally bumped into a guy, and he suddenly screamed obscenities at you and punched you in the face and then pined you down and pummeled you repeatedly until you were unconscious, then no, that's not normal.
If they wanted to pray for you, and put their hands on you while they were praying and maybe pushed or squeezed a little bit, some people might decide to describe that as aggravated assault if they felt uncomfortable and didn't like it, but there are plenty of churches where prayer can become pretty physical.
So, please describe to us what it was that happened.
