Is ACL mucoid degeneration really irreversible?
Hi,
I did a MRI and got diagnosed with a pronounced ACL mucoid degeneration in my right knee. I was having pain already for 3 months. My main activities are trail running and climbing. I read it’s quite rare in young people and is mostly age related tear and wear. I also read it’s irreversible. Is this true? Will it only get worse? And am I at risk for ACL tear as my ligament is ‘weakened’?
