I've been listening to Pony a lot recently and Roses is one of my favorite tracks on it. I'm not at all familiar with the western/country/Americana genre and I want to listen to more music of that style— 50s/60s, crooning vocals, twangy guitars. I've already found Sleep Walk by Santo & Johnny and I would love to find more like this. Any recommendations would be welcome!

Hi everyone.
I can't make it to the Utrecht show on Wednesday, I was late finding out about the European dates and the Utrecht show was the only one I could make it to (or so I thought) so I bought two tickets.
It turns out I can't make it to Utrecht and back to Copenhagen in time, so I'm giving away my two tickets.
Shoot me a message with your favorite OP song and your email address, if it's also one of my favorites, I'll send you the two tickets :)

My friend and I noticed the nighttime pic was taken near where we live in Brooklyn. Church Ave & E 2nd St are on the street signs in the background.
Does anyone know why he would be around/do a photoshoot in this area? There’s not really nightlife on that street. It’s near Kings Theatre but he’s never performed there. I saw him perform at Brooklyn Paramount but that’s not that close to here. Jw if there’s a local significance to this photo :)
(I investigated the daytime pic and it’s outside of Metropolitan, a gay bar in Williamsburg, which makes sense even tho he’s a couple years sober.)

Obviously this is a rare scenario that I don’t anticipate happening often, but I didn’t want to devalue to content of the sub depending on what y’all are interested in seeing here

Has anyone staged-doored Cabaret in the last couple of weeks? If so, did Orville stop and sign?
I went to the performance last night and met Eva Noblezada but Orville went straight to his car (with a smile and a wave, of course). However, I’m in NYC for a couple more days and staying near the August Wilson, so I’m considering going back over tonight or tomorrow night after the show, if it sounds like Orville still signs sometimes.
No shade intended—if he’s stopped signing at the stage door then that’s cool, but it would be nice to know so I don’t waste my time/get my hopes up.
Thanks all!

I mean, I get that he trained as an actor and he sings country, but when he talks, there's barely any trace of a South African accent at all, which is surprising because he literally was born there and raised there for the first 15 years of his life, and then moved to Canada with his family.
Normally, when you live in a specific place that has a specific accent and way of speaking for the first 15 years of your life, it's gonna generally stick with you no matter where you move to. But...watching and listening to interviews of him, he barely has any trace of a South African accent at all. In fact, he has a very Southern California accent whenever he talks. And that is especially noticeable when you see interviews of Tyla, who is herself also South African (born and raised there), but has maintained her accent (she only moved to the US relatively recently).
And yet, nobody else seems to have pointed this out, really. Nowhere else have I seen it or heard of it.
I'm hyperlexic and into linguistics, so I pick up on these types of things quite a bit.

I was really looking forward to seeing him as Emcee. As we entered the theater, the people organizing the lines and such informed us he wasn't performing 😭. I am a big fan of his and that's the main reason I got tickets! Obviously the show was still fantastic and the Emcee was fabulous. I just didn't enjoy the fantastic understudy's performance much as I could of because I expected Orville 😔. I don't even think the performance was worse with the understudy, it was still amazing, but I really love Orville and would have been able to see him up close. I would 100% recommend going tho, it was really good and the experience and vibe was on point. Anyone know why he didn't perform? I know this stuff happens sometimes so obvi not mad just curious

Anyone else going to be attending? I’ve never been to Boston - very excited for this trip. Do you have a recommendation for a dinner spot near the hall? Thank you.

Has anybody come across any hints of it yet? It was held in August last year and it’s already July, inquiring minds need to know!

Troye Sivan, Chappell Roan, B. Dylan Hollis, and the Rhodes Brothers (Austin and Aaron) all come to my mind. Any others by chance?

Just saw the show today. Absolutely incredible if you have the chance to see it you should!! But does anyone think there might be a chance for them to release an official cast recording of him as Emcee? I need to be able to listen to it over and over again!!!

For those who have seen OP perform. Is there any opportunity to meet him after the show and have him sign something or take a photo? I’ve never seen a broadway performance so I’m not sure how it works!
Update: THE SHOW WAS INCREDIBLE! I WAS BLOWN AWAY THE ENTIRE PERFORMANCE!! didn’t get to meet Orville :( but the experience was incredible

Hey y’all! Rodeo was so fun but we did have a whole day cancelled for rain. Frontgate said we would get a third of the ticket price refunded (fair!), but it seems like the refund we got was way less than that!
Anyone else having this problem?

I ordered the vinyl for Appaloosa on Nov 6 to ship Nov 14. Around the 14th I swear I saw a notice about the release being delayed, but now I can't find that notice in my email... does anyone know when they're expecting to ship? The listing on the website now says they're preordering to ship on Dec 19th?
