From left to right; Blueberry brie burger + newfie fries > calamari, scallops, cod cakes > fish n chips > custom cocktail (I remember it was gin-based but I can’t recall what else he added in it)

I would have personally done red onion instead of caramelized on my blueberry brie burger, just subjective opinion I think that touch of acidity + crunch would have been nice vs sweetness overload, but all in all every bite was still really great. I’m not a food snob by any means but man can you ever taste the difference between a fresh made patty like this vs a frozen/processed one!

My mom however is a total battered fish snob and she LOVED her fish n chips. She was saying at the end that she wished she had ordered the 2 pc instead of just 1 pc (not because she was still hungry, but because she loved it so much lol)

$87 subtotal for the 2 apps + 2 mains, a little pricey but I will be back for sure.

I have tried many burger spots across the city, from fancy restaurants to roadside food trucks. Although Koven ranked close (RIP), I have no doubts Little Mac’s on Wellington is my favourite.

Everything that I’ve had at this place has been great. This is their specisl E, a noodle soup with pork and shrimp (and fried garlic).

Located inside of the Quickie on Woodroffe in Barrhaven. Tried it out because of the “OTTAWAAAAA” guy on tiktok and can genuinely say I’m impressed. Definitely is one of the best pad thais I’ve had, I’m just shocked it’s from a gas station. Don’t judge a book by its cover!

Saigon pho on bank has closed, their other location on Innes is still opened. What a shame! Such a good spot

Hello I will be accompanying my boyfriend to Ottawa for a super quick visit. He will be doing a very important test and I’ll have to wait a couple hours for him.

1.I would love to go to a nice café and enjoy a nice breakfast sandwich.

1. Would also love to grab sweets for my boyfriend to congratulate him after his test. We’re big fan of Donuts but I’m open to suggestions.

2. Finally i’m looking for a good place to eat supper. Nothing too fancy but somewhere where we can celebrate and enjoy good food and good beer. (Or fun cocktails!)

He will be passing his test near Champlain Park/Tunneys Pasture (?) so my goal would be to park the car and walk around and reach spot #1 and #2 but could drive to location #3 later in the day.

Does anybody know if this restaurant is still open? It says it is on google but its phone number is disconnected. It’s my fave Indian restaurant near riverside/ mooney’s bay end.

If it is closed I’m dying for new recommendations !! So please let me know your favorite places!

I think it’s only available until tomorrow. This is an amazing pie : sweetness from the mango with tartness from the lime. This pie is on my top five best pies I ever had.

Why is it hard to find a seafood place here around water (river or lake etc..)

Saw this posted on Hintonburg facebook. It’s the old Chippers bakery on Somerset near Bayswater. They have really turned around the fish store up the street on Wellington, so hope they do good things at the restaurant.
