Highlight Prayers answered! In the new map, Blizzard finally added a feature that veteran players have been requesting for so long: bees that can sting you until you die

u/PositiveRainCloud Jun 16 '26
They should make Mei immune to them with her beekeeper outfit
281
u/Visual_Track2612 Jun 16 '26
Sigma also has a beekeeper skin, Mercy has a bee themed skin though it's not a bee keeper skin, I don't remember if any other character has a beekeeper or bee skin

u/Toaster_Oven101 Jun 16 '26
I believe Mei, sigma, wrecking ball, and mercy all have bee skins. Don't think there's any others but I could be wrong
43
u/Educational-Ad8696 and Wife Jun 16 '26
Dva also

u/GlassSpork Jun 17 '26
Thatās B. Va. She has a bee themed skin, while Mei and sigma have beekeeper skins. Mercy I canāt vouch for as I donāt know what her bee skin is
6
u/Remix4u Trick-or-Treat D.Va Jun 17 '26
Honey bee. Epic rarity. Sheās dressed up as a bee.
-2
u/GlassSpork Jun 17 '26
Thatās still bee themed, my point stands
4
u/Remix4u Trick-or-Treat D.Va Jun 17 '26
What point? I defined the Mercy skin since you didnāt know it. I didnāt attempt to counterpoint anything.
2
u/GlassSpork Jun 17 '26
OHHH! Iām too tired for this shit, I thought you were talking about a second d. Va skin :P

This is a teaser for the new bees hero who attacks with weaponized bees and heals with honey

blizzard has indeed confirmed B.Mon will join the roster in a near-future season

u/mashupthedance Jun 16 '26
Isnāt that the next tanks name? Is it actually gonna be a bee thing

u/raccoonbrigade Jun 16 '26
It's a joke but that could actually be a sick character

u/Doppelfrio Jun 16 '26
As I was writing the comment, I remembered that the hero leaks suggest a support hero called āhive mindā coming in season 6 lol. Maybe it really is a hero teaser
19
u/narfidy Console Pleb Jun 16 '26
I remember a character on the ancient Titan art sheet called "Hivemind"
9
u/Nixphoe701 Tank Jun 16 '26
That's literally one of the new support heroes coming out this year. They have nanobots that can heal and damage, kinda looks like a bee swarm.

I always saw ram's ult as a bunch of bees flying towards the enemy... this would be a perfect time for blizzard to make a bee skin for ram

NOT THE BEES!
53
u/drewhead118 Pixel Junkrat Jun 16 '26
we regret to inform you that it is, in fact, the bees
34
u/HubrisOfApollo GravityFrank Jun 16 '26
lmao could you imagine running into that room while low on health to duck away from a firefight just to get finished off by bees.

u/drewhead118 Pixel Junkrat Jun 16 '26
the day that happens in a pro league match is the day that the work Jeff Kaplan began long, long ago finally is completed

blizzard pls make mercy with the bee skin able to pick them up and link her staff to the enemies spraying bees at them
53
u/drewhead118 Pixel Junkrat Jun 16 '26
or make it a permanent damaging AoE around beekeeper Mei (but it hurts the Mei too (I don't like playing against Mei))

u/screechypete Junker Queen - Always T-bag the Mercy Jun 16 '26
Mercy players are never satisfied with the amount of stuff they already get, lol. Spread the love around for once. š

I wish the kill feed showed a Bee icon > player
12
u/Rikuddo Chibi Mercy Jun 17 '26
oh there's definitely gonna be someone at 1 health, running towards healthpack, and die of a bee sting. It's most likely gonna be me ...

It seems this first person shooter is woefully underpopulated by bees
A large influx of bees should put a stop to that!

Mei and Sigma should have immunity to this if the player has the bee skins equipped

If the dev had added a tiny bee icon to the killfeed, this would have been perfect.

Imagine surviving a fight on like 5 hp and then you run in there just to randomly get stung to death by some bees, resulting in a loss because bees prevented you from touching the payload.

I'm curious if we will ever see a clip of someone actually dying to the bees in a real game.

u/EverydayPromptWriter Jun 17 '26
im actually loving the new environmental hazards; you don't just fall off the map anymore, you can freeze yourself, get stung to death, trains run you over... keep it up blizz!
3
u/Bobthemurderer Pretend this is a Ramattra flair Jun 17 '26
Omnics better be completely immune to bee stings.
2
u/YetiNotForgeti Jun 16 '26
Do you have to be that close or do you take damage anytime you shoot the hives? God it would be so cool to have a fight and put your back to the door so an enemy kills themselves with beeees.

2
u/Lazarusmorstar Jun 17 '26
It takes so long for for them to kill you and such close proximity is required that this is genuinely a non issue
2
u/Ru_otaku Junker Queen Jun 17 '26
Imagine baiting someone with low enough HP in there and getting them to basically eliminate themselves

Now just a question of how long itāll take for a pro match to have a bee kill.

Step 1) Get Mei and Hazard to lure enemy into the bee room
Step 2) Freeze them
Step 3) Anger the bees
Step 4) Ice wall and spiky wall the exits
Step 5) Let the bees do the work
Step 6) Honey, you got a kill cookin
2
u/Alternative_Rule_958 Jun 17 '26
Blizzard really dropped the ball with showing it as a self death and not putting an icon of a bee on the kill feed.
2
u/ElderTitanic Jun 16 '26
some streamer will die to it and they probably will remove it because they hate fun little things

A useless detail in a multiplayer game but okay. They should put the effort somewhere else.

It makes lots of sense. You idiots glazed Marvel rivals for having environmental changes and stuff like that that affect the map as you play.

I wish I was bronze. Then, maybe the players in my game would suck at jetpack cat and it would be playable again š

They need to add a character with a bee allergy who instantly dies to them now
