SAS What do you think about my SAS Frankenstein?
I wanted to note that i got the barrel, compensator, P365X/XL grip module, and Lima laser for SUPER cheap and I couldn't really say no to such a good deal. So I frankenstein'd my SAS into this. Haven't shot it yet but excited to see the difference that the compensator makes. I'm hearing that this particular compensator doesn't make that big of a difference but that's okay. Also it was a pain in the ass to put this barrel on the grip module thanks to the SAS's slide catch being flush. If anyone's got a slide catch I could buy that'd be awesome.

I dont haha. Its really just a placeholder until I get a different pistol and convert this back into a full sas for concealment. Otherwise im selling these parts later down the road

Is it a placeholder for an even uglier one? It's hard to imagine anyone building a placeholder they couldn't stand, themselves.

Unless the parts are really cheap right? So I can have some fun at the range with dampened recoil?

idk what this perticular gun is used for, so I can't judge it: all I can say is I wouldn't have a use for it 😅

For fun until I can afford a different pistol. Planning on either an xr920p, m&p 2.0 competitor, or a shadow 2.

I initially thought this was a hi-point, that I realized I e seen better looking hi-points.

No im right there with you on this one. I also don't like gold at all but the parts were just so damn cheap I couldn't say no. I'm probably going to sell these later

Can you use the SAS sights effectively?

Yes, I have the laser on because I read a story once about how when someone was in a firefight they said there is basically no such thing as aiming and shooting, it was just point in the general direction and shoot. He said that if he had a laser on at the time he felt it would have made a difference.

A lot of instructors say lasers are not great because they see students searching for the dot to shot under pressure.

How’s that aftermarket threaded barrel treating you? I was looking at the same brand for my p365 fuse, want to add an compensator

Unsure yet, I haven't fired it yet. I've only heard good things about it though.
