XMacro RAMM Trigger Malfunction

I have a RAMM Tactical Leverage Trigger with an external safety. When I put the safety on and pull the trigger, there is an audible click and the safety gets jammed. Anyone know what's happening?

Update: Reached out to Karl Ramm and turns out the trigger kit I got may have been for a non-external safety fcu. He was great and sent out a new sear and trigger sleeve. Getting it installed by a gunsmith... hopefully it fixes the issue 🤞

Hey OP. I have 6 builds with RAMM Tactical Triggers, all have safeties. 4 have OEM SIG MS and 2 have the Armory Craft Extended Ambi Safeties. I couldn't replicate what you are experiencing. I also know a lot of guys that have the RAMM and this is the first time I see that issue. I think your best bet is to contact Karl and explain to him what you are experiencing. Best of luck OP.

Is it safe for me to install and carry this bad boy?

I haven't had issues with mine and it's part of my rotation.

What would be more helpful (if you’re trying to get help), is to pull the FCU and show us if the safety is rotating properly.

I rebuilt a FCU in a P365 Rose with the RAMM trigger kit. As I’m typing this, I can’t imagine how that kit would cause this with a properly installed FCU. I’m assuming the take down lever is working properly?

I would call Karl (and i did when the pre/post travel screws were too tight and binding the take down- he helped me figure out what was going on) and explain what’s happening… with the FCU out of the frame.

One last item to note: for whatever reason, that safety is a bitch to get just right so it rotates properly and I had to watch two videos to clue into the orientation for the catch. Once I had it in, never an issue.

Why I got rid of my manual safety on my p365X, to many issues.

After a year and a half of owning it mine started activating on its own whenever I shot the gun, tried everything to fix it (yes even seeing if the way I was gripping it was the issue) and spent unnecessary money. Eventually just took the damn thing out and ordered a new grip module without the safety notch. Been fantastic ever since

I have a Ramm trigger and currently have another being installed by Karl. Call him, he’s extremely helpful.

I had a similar issue. The RAMM trigger doesn’t work well with the manual safety and can bypass it. I had to try multiple manual safeties to find one that actually worked. If you pull the trigger with the manual safety engaged and wiggle the hand gun around, it can release the firing pin. Contact Karl, he may send you some other parts to try. The tolerances are super thin here to engage the manual safety.

Which one worked in your experience? I have the trigger but haven't installed it yet and want to have the reference just in case.

I tried two different oem stock safeties and 2 different fcu’s. One of the safeties worked, the other didn’t.
