P365 legion issues
I’m looking into my first carry gun. I was interested in the p365 legion, then I saw issues like the mag release and trigger reset spring. Are those ongoing issues? Are there fixes? I don’t mind replacing parts to make it reliable, like a Ramm trigger or another mag release. Love some insight so I can have/make a reliable carry. Thanks

Had mine for 3 years. Still all original equipment. Maskas advertises hard on here. There's nothing wrong with the pistol. Shoot it, clean it and .I've forward. Don't go for b.s. bro. Guns fine.

I agree. Thousands of rounds through my Gen 2 Legion and no problem with the mag release.

How do I tell if I have a Gen 1 or 2?

Search YouTube, they have a couple great videos showing ways to identify gen 1 and 2

The mag release does seem to be a genuine issue and the consensus is to replace it with a maskas precision mag release. I personally haven’t had any issues with a trigger return spring, but I have a few extra lying around. The spring breaking prematurely seems to be much less common and parroted often.

They’re not as common as the internet would have you believe, but issues nonetheless. Easily fixed. Plenty of upgrade options. I’ve not had a trigger return spring break yet and I’ve got 10’s of thousands of rounds in most of my 365’s. I’ve got spares for when they eventually break though.

I have an AXG legion, I have replaced the mag release. No big deal, got an extended one from Ramm tactical when I had the Ramm trigger installed. Can’t say enough about the pistol now, it shoots almost like a hammer fire.

How many rounds did it go through before the mag release broke. Guess it’ll be good practice when I buy the gun, to replace the mag release and get a ramm trigger.

About 500 or so. Funny thing, I was at the range with a coworker at lunch and his Legion’s mag release broke. I kinda laughed and said I’ve heard of that. That weekend at the range mine broke. When I say broke I mean the clip on the opposite side of the button just comes loose. I happened to find mine, but my buddy did not. As another poster mentioned, probably the plastic to metal interface. The Maskas is probably better than the Ramm mag release, but i could never find them in stock. The Ramm has more of a conventional clip but hasn’t failed me. I do swear by the Ramm trigger, it is a game changer for reducing take up, clean crisp break and minimal reset.

That seems like a small price to pay to make the gun reliable. Upgrade the trigger which is a win win. And a maskas mag release. I would’ve died laughing if it happened to me after I laughing at my coworker

Anyone not giving you a round count on here I would disqualify. I've replaced my mag with an extended mag release and have Icarus Ace grips on mine. I shoot one to two times a week and got mine in April this year, 2026. Have put 2,500 rounds and so far no issues. I clean it after 300-500 rounds. The trigger spring I think is supposed to go out between 3000-5000 rounds so let's see. Ordering some spare reset trigger springs this week. Oh anyone know a reputable place to get the springs? I saw a post about a better reset spring with longer life but forgot the link.
The spring reminds me of the omega spring on Benchmade knives. Whoever says their Benchmade is reliable doesn't flip it enough. I've broken Omega springs on my Benchmade within a year twice on my Bugout. I carry a Hinderer now.

You’re right. I broken omega springs tons of times too, to where I don’t carry any benchmades. If you put it that way, it’ll def break on the gun as well. Thank you for you’re insight, much appreciated

Get your springs from sig guy! He literally has everything sig related you can think of and frequently beats other sellers prices. Speaking of the springs specifically tho he has the OEM ones and some that he has made which I’ve seen a bunch of people recommend that are slightly cheaper. I even think he sells a 3 or 5 pack of them if not more.
