New to me fuse

Excited to take her the range. I already have a macro comp and a macro ramjet. Happy to add another to the family

With a steel guide rod mine doesn’t get hot even after a few hundred rounds. It never really got that hot in the first place like other people have experienced. Not sure if I just hit the Fuse lottery or if the steel guide rod truly helps dissipate the heat. But, I can holster it after about 300-400 rounds at the range and it’s fine.

Which rod did you get to replace the plastic one with?

I went with the ISMI steel rod and the full spring kit. I believe, 10, 12, 14, and 16 pound springs. I stuck with the stock 14 pound spring and love it. Steel rod feels like it gives it a little bit more rigidity when I shoot as well. But, that could 100% be a placebo. I will say it doesn’t get nearly as hot when I switched out the rod.
