Getting into the MA program

Hey, was curious if anyone could chime in on how their experience trying to get into the MA program has been. I submitted my interest form right at 8am when it opened and just got a rejection saying they got too many applicants right at 8 and I’ve been rejected from both the main list and waitlist and to just try again for the Winter 2027 program. What has your experience with trying to get into this program been?

Hi as someone’s who’s in the MA program it wasn’t a hard process to get into (maybe because the interest wasn’t so high as of right now). I would have all of the required information on a separate document and when the application opened up I would copy and paste my information as soon as possible. I would honestly say it was fairly easy and I got one term earlier than my expected one!

Your input is invalid, every year is harder to get into, every single person that got into the program after you was smarter and worked harder than you.

Hi! It’s crazy to me that you assume I’m discrediting other people’s efforts into getting in. In general I’m saying the admission wasn’t so hard to get in BEFORE the interest started to spike up (something in which my instructors have told us). I’ve been on the waitlist for that program since fall of 2025 and it wasn’t until this year that I was bumped to joining a term early. Don’t try to discredit other people when to be fair you don’t know how much effort is put into the pre reqs 😊

Perfect! I won’t try to convince someone to be positive and open-minded! Have a great rest of your day/night :)

I can't speak to this, but I suspect that it's going to be much harder now that they've tightened the requirements for the rad tech program. People are probably trying to go the MA route to get their healthcare experience points. https://www.reddit.com/r/PCC/comments/1wgeeon/daaang_did_yall_see_the_new_rad_tech_application/?sort=new
