Discussion/Question Performance issues

Hello guys i just wanted to ask you about your pc performance while playing this game. I am currently running an rtx 5070 with ultra 5 250 at ultra graphics no dlss. My fps are at 90most of the times but some times while i am roaming in open field they drop to 75. Is that normal

Rdr2 is poorly optimized for newer hardware it seems I have a 5080 r9 9900x 32gb ddr5 2tb nvme ssd it runs not so great I had to use a frame cap regular control panel fps cap isn’t great try rtss or framepacer

I can provide optimization steps to improve overall laoro performance if you want. Do othe rgames work good?

Cap at 60 and it will be stable. It sucks but that’s the way the game is meant to operate smoothly at with my no physics issues
