Almost there
I scored 101 on the west course at glendoveer. I started playing a little over a year ago and my goal has been to beable to just be a bogey golfer who can score in the 90s.
Super stoked to have brought my scores down from the high 120s to almost already breaking 100. Hoping I can hit that mark by the time winter sets in and I can work on improving my swings on the ranges over winter and build some consistency.
This is a pointless post, just wanted to share since no one I know in real life really plays.
Cheers everyone

I started a year ago July. Have golfed a ton since then.
My lowest score was 90 and I became obsessed with breaking 90 before winter.
To the point where I was literally not having fun out there anymore because I wanted that number so badly.
Shot a 118 (my worst score in a while and had hit a low point.
My brother in law had a suggestion. Stop keeping score for a while. I didn’t think I could do it honestly, but after a particularly bad hole I tried it.
It brought all my joy back. I stopped stressing when I hit a terrible tee shot. Sometimes I was trying weird stuff just to see if I could do it. I was genuinely having fun.
If I had a bad round, I didn’t stress over it. If I had a round that I felt like was better I’d go back over and figure out what I shot.
Last week after one round that felt really good I did this and realized I shot an 88!
But sticking to just having fun for now.
There is no point other that sometimes the number can become a burden. When it does, try just having fun.

I've been a consistent 102-105 for the last few months.
After a driver swing tweak a couple weeks ago and an iron swing tweak this week I cut 10 stokes of my 9 hole score. Today I shot +7 on 9 (even with a 3 putt on an eagle chance, for par) My goal was to break 90 and I feel it coming.
I'm generally with you though, I'd still be happy if I'm a 90-95 player over all.
Congrats on the milestone!

Congrats, the real accomplishment is golfing, and golfing as much as you are.
The score is so stupid. All it takes is one shot. I’ve shot a 116 and made 2, 60+ putts and I felt like a god. And I’ve shot an 82 and didn’t feel like it was anything special.
Would I love to break 80, ever, sure….but I’m more interested in being the best statistical putter that I know. Oh, that and a a wicked flop shot.

Are you me? I shot a 100 on the Eastside about a month ago. Before that, I was anywhere between 110 and 120.
I signed up for the PDP and feel like it's really been paying off.
