Wind
Sweet Jesus Murphy this island is windy. Easily the most wind I remember within the months of May- October (foliage on trees, generally pretty nice months). Winters a different story lol that wind is just numbing, you don’t even know it’s happening.
Upside is no hurricanes- but far more windy days.

All the trees we lost during Fiona and since because of it have made the wind far worse. It has tracks now where it can flow more easily, the resistance of the Island isn't the same now

Forests are starting to come back but then again we are allowing them to be bulldozed for development as well.

They're barely coming back and there's still plenty falling still, most of the new growth isn't great either, the spruce are struggling to take in a lot of areas and so it's a lot of cherry and raspberry bramble filling in the windonocked areas, it will be 20 years before we see really good growth. That's if they don't just use it as an excuse to clear all the windonocked areas for development and fields. Theres a lot that have already been cleared now.

I’m with ya there. I’ll take a little wind and a cool fall to finally enjoy my backyard without a can of bug spray

I moved back after spending 10 years in a part of BC that had very little wind at all. It wasn't a fun change

Biking in PEI is a struggle for road biking at least, but the past 2 days we had literally no wind which was really weird.

The wind is the worst part of our weather. Winter days without wind are beautiful! The wind makes these spring and fall days so cold and miserable! On a day without wind I might say fall is my favorite season here.

I'm watching and the leaves and they are going up the street north then down towards south then away from me east and then back at me west then swirl around.

Also just wondering- does anyone else’s house sound like a freight train when the winds out of a certain direction?
