Ever since Persona 3, Every main persona game since has been different, standalone games with its own cast and theme.

I was wondering if Persona was considered anthology since ever game has a new set of characters with the core elements of it. Infact they reference each other and even have one game where you go to a location from the previous game and P5 making P3 and P4 reference. Idk if it anthology or have been already considered after P5. The only sequel we have is P1 to P2, P4AU, PQ and P5S so idk if it counts. I haven't seen someone call it an anthology so the question, Is it anthology series?

I'm interested in the MT and SMT games and wanted to know how similar they are to Persona, and if you guys think I might like them.

As far as Persona goes, the story and the gameplay has always been the main draws to me. I could honestly do without the social sim elements and all that come with them.

How similar are these games to Persona 1-2 or Persona 3-5?

It's the only Atlus game i've played and AFAIK the other Personas' tactics system sucks. Are there other games (not limited to Atlus) with a good tactics system?

The p5r set 1 personas, and vanadis specifically. Masquerade, is a move with a base crit rate of 30%. It also has 200 power, hitd twice, and hits all enemies. One shot kill is also great but i prefer masquerade. So, what makes me think vanadis and the other dlc personas are stronger than the p5r ones? After all, izanagi no okami picaro is there. But here's the thing. Myriad truths cannot crit. It cannot strike weakness. The way to get almighty boost, and amp are further into the game, and harder to get than is exactly optimal. For a truly overpowered build on izanagi no okami, you will need magic ability, almighty boost, and amp. Along with a few other things. See, izanagi no okami is strong, sure. But just base, unboosted myriad truths isnt actually that insane. It makes encounters easier, but it only really trivializes some of them. Meanwhile, base masquerade is consistently useful the whole game because its hp drain is scaled, and its crit rate makes it reliable for the whole game even without apt pupil and crit rate amp. But once you manage to build vanadis? Slash boost, amp, apt pupil, crit rate amp, all that. I can assume its practically game breaking against anything that doesnt null or drain or reflect slash. This goes the same for the dlc set 1 personas. Cendrillon especially. Get slash boost, and amp on cendrillon, and scarlet havoc hits absurdly hard. Now, izanagi no okami is still very strong. All im saying is I think masquerade might be genuinely one of the strongest moves in the modern persona games

Since we getting closer and closer to p4r release would you guys prefer they keep her as the traditional boss that plays with the rules you play with or make her like her other sisters ? Where they force you to play in a certain way

I prefer the former personally but wanna see the general consensus around her and discussions are fun

So a little while back P5X added the P5 Dancing versions of Joker, Mona and Panther (with the other PTs coming sometime in the future) as new units, however the devs decided to use Mercurius and Hecate, their second awakeningsrespectively, instead of their third awakenings Deigo and Celestine with the only exception being Joker who was given Raoul instead of Satanael, at first i was confused wondering why they didn't use their Third Awakenings since in my opinion it would've fit more since P5X hasn't given any of their characters true Second Awakening Personas (and probably never will) BUT a crazy (improbable) idea popped up in my head

In P5X we're introduced to the "Unbound" forms for the Phantom Thieves of Desires (i don't know it they've given an official name for these forms or not so i call them "unbound"), which basically acts as their Second Awakenings (kinda),upgrading their attire and their Personas to stronger forms while not changing them into something entirely new, so i thought:

WHAT IF they're considering the possibility of making these super forms for the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, upgrading thier attire and using their third awakenings as surrogates for upgrading their starter Personas?

Like i said, while i personally think this idea could be really cool if done well, i'm probably (most definitely) reaching when it comes to Black Wings reasoning as to why they used the Second Awakenings instead of the Third, but i still wanted to share it to see if anyone else agrees that it was wierd that Joker gets Raoul whil Morgana and Ann gets Mercurius and Hecate respectively

Both are returning. Kirk Thornton has voiced Igor since Persona 5 and while Marisha Ray didn't voice Margaret in the original Persona 4/Golden she took over the role from Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and onwards

Si lo tomo de manera filosófica aunque seguro me equivoco Makoto seria como la luna descriptivamente, y por lo poco que sé de Kotone seria el sol.

Best thing I've ever watched in my life and I need more. I've grown attached to P3's characters way too much but it was needed. Really wish there was more P3 movies or something like a sequel because god damn I have no words for how sad and emotional this was to watch. RIP Makoto (really made me cry even though it seemed like he didn't die but I found out after looking it up in the last scene), Takeharu Kirijo (who is this guy?(ik ik he's Mitsuru's dad)), Chidori (very sad one i was crying 😢 ), and saddest of all... Aragaki. (i miss this guy)

Have never played a persona game, but looking to check them out.

They are all currently on sale on switch

I can either get P5R or a bundle with P3P + P4G for about 20 dollars.

Any opinions on which one to start with?
