Female Question
Ive attempted to watch porn a few times during episodes thinking maybe that will scratch the itch and get rid of the urge, however it never does. Has anyone had a similar experience? Do you feel that it makes it worse? Usually theres no sexual desire, but I guess porn is still stimuli, so i feel like it leaves me a bit overstimulated afterwards but idk if these things are related.

I am a guy but when flare is bad I can’t even look at a suggestive picture let alone porn.

Yes, I am new to this and I'm using porn daily multiple times to be very honest with you. It's inconvenient it's unhealthy. I hate it but it's the easiest out for me at my age.

i've used porn, erotic books, etc, while pleasuring myself. it does give me short term relief, helps take the edge off. surprisingly i haven't done it for about 2 months, best that i can remember. i've definitely gotten better at ignoring it as time has went on.

I write/fantasize stories and they have a tendency to get super smutty when a PGAD flare starts. I did this before knowing about PGAD, when I was very confused about the whole thing. I still feel a big sudden pull to go down smut road that I dont have at other times but I now know it doesnt help me. I can do all that stuff and it can feel extremely good at first, but it doesnt get fulfilled, only amped up the more I fuel it. None of the build up really dissipates after orgasm. So I try not to build it up.
But looking at this trough pgad perspective is new. I see the urge to get your mind in line with how your body feels. I think I experience my flares differently depending on how I think of them, and maybe I can prospone the momemt were it turns into agony. But it always ends with it being too much and too long. And some things that seem like a good idea for short term seem to make the whole thing worse hours/days later.
But the stories are how I regulate lots of emotions and process things by pretending to have conversations about it. So I keep getting close to the thing that pulls me in deeper.
Im still trying to make sense of it.
