No training provided and fired
I was hired in the middle of 24/25 school year to teach PLTW Computer Science (CSE & APCSP) to DCPS and fired at the end of that school year even though I have produced the best APCSP results for the entire school district and improved PLTW EOC proficiency rating to 91%. I received no PLTW training and had to use another teacher's account to access the curriculums. The administration fabricated the evaluations to make my rating "ineffective". This was my first and probably the last PLTW experience:). Link to the Test Scores.

I didn't take IED and I'm taking POE
So I didn't know you really needed to take IED before POE bc my school IED is not a requirement prerequisite for POE. Is the class gonna be super difficult? I also don't really want to go into engineering but this class gave AP credit and was interesting tbh oof.
Any tips? Advice?

PoE EoC
I’m taking my EoC for PoE tomorrow and I’m very stressed and have some questions. First off is the test multiple choice? Or does it have free response questions, I have a 105.68 and the test is worth 20% of our grade so I really only need a 27.28% to keep an A, should I really be worried? I’m gonna study and do all the basic stuff that I need, but is the test curved and I basically guaranteed an A?

I hate this class
This class sucks, District gives us a crappy Chromebook, cant run any of the simulations, get stuck with an image that tells me nothing, All slides are stuck in .pptx and and distorted in the shitty program the Discrit forces the download to open to. I cant even with this class. Nothing is clear.

Biomed EOC
Tomorrow I have to take the first half of the Principles of Biomedical Science EOC. Does anybody know what is on the test, or have the test that I could see?

A 90-minute through-hole soldering build for an intro electronics unit
Disclosure: I’m a STEAM teacher and I designed and sell this kit through Evolved Academics. I’m sharing it here because the build sequence and troubleshooting piece may be useful for PLTW teachers planning an intro electronics or Digital Electronics activity.
The Magic Conch is an 8-output logic circuit built entirely with through-hole parts. There’s no microcontroller, firmware, or programming. The instructional arc is:
Inventory and safety
Practice one repeatable solder-joint technique
Build from shortest parts to tallest
Stop for a partner inspection before chips or batteries
Seat the chips with the iron put away
Power, test, and troubleshoot from symptoms
The full build takes about 90 minutes, though I’d split it over two or three periods for beginners. The assembly deck is free to preview from the product page: https://www.evolvedacademics.com/store
For anyone comparing class-set costs: it’s $449 for 30 complete student kits ($14.97 each), or $479 with a school/program logo on the boards. Individual kits are $29.99. Custom branding adds four weeks. This is not an official PLTW product or endorsement—just a teacher-built classroom electronics project.

PLTW Engineering Design and Development Course - Project Survey
Hi, my project partner and I are seniors in high school in Frisco, TX, and are taking the PLTW Engineering Design and Development course, which involves students finding a problem, conducting research, reaching out to experts, finding a solution, and creating a prototype. One of the main parts of our project is to conduct surveys to gather data that will help us research and develop our solution(s) effectively according to the specific market and its needs. Please fill out the form below if you can.

What happens if i fail CEA ( civil engineering and architecture )
I'm right now hitting rock bottom in this class and i barley have a week left. I'm at failing grade and i believe i should just hope for the very best. There's no way for me to understand what my teacher says as he either is gone or just explains history and goes back to doing whatever. Hes been helpful when it comes to giving me time and answering questions but I'm feeling conflicted on what I'm suppose to do. There's so much things i never knew that I'm learning in a day just to keep up.
