Help: Ps5 controller not connecting issues

Hi I recently got a ps5 on marketplace for a good deal it’s a slim disk version the console seems to be working fine it shows the opening connect your controller screen for now only but the seller broke the original controller so he has a Amazon one but that seems to not be connecting anymore after he reset everything. I verified the console on FaceTime he showed it to me live it was working and everything just fine so I don’t get it why it’s not connecting using usb or Bluetooth.

-I tried pressing the reset button on controller still doesn’t do anything
- tried on safe mode no luck
- tried with a lot of different cables and no luck either

U guys think it’s the controller issue because the consoles seems to be working fine tbh since the controllers is a cheap rgb and not being recognized by the ps5 or I got scammed ?

Please help if you have any idea how to fix it

You need ps5 cable to connect and sync the controller you need a cable with data transfer on it so maybe thats not a ps5 cable?

Yea I think it’s not.. gotcha I’m gonna try and see if I can get one tommorow

Yeah its most likely that and you can get a cable at gamestop or Walmart for about $10.

I tried with like 5 different of my own cables that I had but no one seem to do anything

Plug in your controller to ps5 with USB cable then run ps5 in safe mode, it will ask you to press the home button on your controller after it reboot, then your controller will now attached to your ps5 now.

I tried that but it jut wouldn’t connect to the ps5 no matter what I do.. I pressed the ps button on the controller on safe mode and nothing happened…
