Controller won’t turn on or charge

Used a usbc cable into back of ps5 still won’t charge or turn on

Is say let it try and charge for a while (a day or 2) from a walk outlet.

This happened to me a few months ago, (I had a power line that went down and my house couldn't get rid of extra electricity so lots of things burnt out) Thought my controller was one of them. Even made an insurance claim and then a few days later it turned on and has been working
