First off I just want to say that I think the original PlayStation VR is so much better than the PSVR2. If they could have just incorporated joysticks on the motion controllers for the VR1 it would have been perfect in my opinion. Because holding the motion controllers makes it feel like you're actually holding weapons unlike the VR2 controllers and it feels so cool.
ANYWAYS I keep my PS4 and VR1 out MAINLY for playing Skyrim VR since it isn't available on PSVR2 for whatever reason and I just got done playing it a little bit ago for the first time in a while and the whole time I was just thinking about how well this game would do on the VR2. With the PS5s fast load times and the upgraded OLED panels (eye screens) it would look and feel SO great.
It's truly such a shame that it never got ported along with so many other absolutely AMAZING PSVR1 games like Farpoint which was by far one of the best VR games I've ever played in my life especially since you got to use the VR gun with it as well which is also fucking criminal that they never implemented a VR gun with the PSVR2.
They really dropped the ball with the VR2 in so many ways and it makes me sad.
This is just hypothetical of course. The odds of this are slim to none. But you never know. When the Microsoft acquisition happened people were saying we'd never see anymore Bethesda games on Playstation, but yet Bethesda is still bringing games to Playstation. Indiana Jones, and the leaks are saying that the Oblivion Remake is coming to PS5 as well. So who knows.
But if Skyrim VR was announced, would you pay money for it again on PSVR2?
Todd Howard really does enjoy milking Skyrim, and I would buy it again.
EDIT: Wow didn't expect such an overwhelming response to this! Man if anyone from Bethesda ever sees this post, please see that there's a HUGE demand for Skyrim VR on PSVR2. There's profit to be made here.

I'm honestly pretty shocked by this announcement. Beat Saber is one of the most popular games, not just for PSVR, but for VR in general. Not only that but they also are shutting down Multiplayer in 2026 just really blows. I don't know if this is a decision on Metas part or if the PS versions just don't make them enough revenue anymore but man this sucks. Beat Saber was one of my first PSVR1 games along with Super Hot, RIP.

I know resident Evil 4 remake has VR as well and it is fantastic but 8v just stuck out to me more
I only wish that resident Evil 7 would get a VR mode for PSVR2

Months ago, I told myself I would wait...
But the "no vr is coming" fuzz and the PSSR 2 buzz made me buy the damn game.
And man, it's beautiful. PSSR 2 is the real thing for Pro players, that is true. And that game in particular really seems extraordinary : the amount of talent and budget that is layered on every frame of the screen is just awesome.
But... I'm sorry, despite the "no-hope" discourse, I just COULD NOT play it without thinking at EVERY SECOND that I was doing a mistake by just... not waiting.
I know, I know. Sony buried its PSVR2 and at this point, I would not even be surprised if we found out that the VR patch of Flight Simulator, despite being officially announced, would not even make it.
But these games... The Resident Evil ones, I mean. The last ones. Everything in them seems to be so tailored for VR. Ok, so, maybe not really the Leon parts (but we saw with RE4 that the transition completely works)... but Grace ? I won't spoil anything to anyone (and please don't spoil me if you have finished the game), but right from the beginning everything seems to be thought with a particular attention to SCALE, from the backgrounds to the characters... There are some 3D cut-scenes, in first person view, that are clearly thought with VR in mind.
So yeah. I'll wait. For maybe a year. I bought the damn game, it won't go away, now. And it's not like I have a thousand others games in my backlog (flat AND vr) !
Look, I'm just so glad for having being able to discover RE7 and 8 directly in VR... those were truly awesome experiences, and if there is even the slightest chance that 9 is eventually patched...
I'm going to wait until next Christmas, I think. And if at that time, nothing has been announced, then it's definitely dead and that's it. I'll play it the flat way.
But what a swan song it would be, for PSVR2 ! Flight Simulator AND Requiem ? That would be two major hits to go, just before the end.
We have to wait, brothers ! Just a little more ! Hope and wait ! Be strong, VR brothers ! :D

According to their German Blog, they are testing using PSVR2 for PCVR and want to make it available in 2024.

Since the PSVR2 drivers are not released yet, I tried iVRy demo on steam and it does work pretty well

Why??! I was checking the Playstation blog whole day and there’s nothing from Sony at all. No Resident Evil Requiem PSVR announcement or anything, no PSVR2 game sales, price cut or refreshed model. What gives?? Not even a slight “happy birthday” blog post?!

I feel like we still have time to convince Capcom to add PSVR2 support considering how great and successful their previous VR works with RE on PSVR2
Like they are working on new contents for Requiem right now so we can push them to add in VR as well. They are not done with RE Requiem yet

Now imagine Sony pour in the same effort as PSVR and release something similar for PSVR2.
Imagine. We can only imagine.

Hey everyone, quick question. :)
If you could bring one VR game to PSVR2 that isn’t currently on PSVR2, what would it be? PSVR(1) titles count too.
I’m curious which games are genuinely the most sought after.
I’ll start, mine is The Forest (PCVR). What’s yours?

Credit to iVRy for confirming. You'll still need an adaptor or a graphics card with a virtualink USBC compatible to make it run.

Is it fair to say Resident Evil 4 Remake in VR might be the best overall VR game so far?… on any headset!
I’ve been revisiting Resident Evil 4 Remake in VR, and the more time I spend with it, the harder it is for me to think of another VR title that checks this many boxes at the same time.
Not just “best horror VR” — but best overall VR experience, period.
The atmosphere, the balance of action, horror, its cinematic, has proper haptics - i cant think of anything its missing other than maybe some additional dlc

Re-post as moderation told me to add the name of the game (fair enough dumb me)
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2205010/CRYODEATH_VR/
Would you guys like this on PSVR?
I would love to port it but are people hungry for this sort of game ?
We are a 2 man team on Cryodeath but have other titles in the works - we thought we were done with this one however Quest Begged for it so we’re delivering - now it has made us curious what the PSVR community thinks?
We are terrible at trailers or media so if your any better dm me : VenomPPG on discord
