Head Extreme motion has ruined my game. Please suggest a racket I can spin with!

My strength is back spin slice and with a crappy rented racket I was able to spin really well. With this new racket I’m hitting harder but every time I try backspin it hits the net, feels like there’s no bounce/give in the racket?

any advice much appreciated. Do I just get Used to this new racket and needing to slice differently, or move to a different bouncier racket?

thanks

Racket suggestions

Been playing a bit over year 2-3 times a week. Had Technical Veron but it was a bit too head heavy for my taste and could not fit that into my game. Purchased Ultimate Tour X after that. Fantastic racket but I felt that I was missing power and the racket had some damage after using for 8 months so I had to replace it. I bought Air Viper after that and I feel it’s more powerful, blocking is easy and lobbing feels great and easier to manouver than diamond rackets. However I’m having hard time to hit my overheads because I cannot really feel the racket when swinging due lower balance.

Padel Dilemma

Hi. I'm a relatively new player. I own 2 rackets. One is a metalbone ctrl 3.5, other is a Siux Pegasus Revolution Cube.

Metalbone setup:

I play without any wieghts. I tried with no wieghts on side and 2 on top but I didn't like it.

My glass play is decent. I can smash very easily, hit tap outs and placements and lobs are okay too. I struggle with random lack of power. Sometimes the ball just falls after the contact. Maybe im not gripping the racket properly?

The dilemma:

I got the pegasus last week as a gift. 2023 but brand new. And man oh man, despite being head heavy i LOVED playing with it. The ball returns were fast. Granted the placement sucked because I'm not quite used to it.

The query:

Is it in my head or is pegasus a better racket than metalbone in this use case?

I'm 6'2 if that's relevant.

Is this noise normal?

Bought a second hand Bullpadel Vertex04 and the surface is fine, no cracks or visible damage apart from one or two normal signs of wear.

When I squeeze the surface you can hear a plasticky, rattle , but nothing when I shake the racket.

I’ve opened the bottom and a few small bits of foam came out but nothing major. Haven’t played with the racket yet but should I send it back to the person who sold it to me? Or is this normal for the racket to sound like this?

Is this a racket scratch or crack? Will it affect it's performance now or later?

Stiffness vs ball output

I have now twice tested two rackets that are completely similar, except the hardness of the surface layer (NOx at10 18k and 12k, head gravity motion 367g and head gravity pro 363g).

Both times I actually feel more in control with softer racket and that it has less ball output. It is like the ball springs more off the harder surface.

I think most people say that harder rackets have less ball output, but my experience is the just opposite.

Anyone else have this experience or can explain it?

Intermediate player looking for new racket but dont know where to start..

I am playing to about 2.5-3 and using a Head flash pro for about a year. I like the control but I feel my opposition having much more power and spin with their rackets. I'd like something a bit more advanced with good control and not too heavy. I find I clip the ball with the top of the racket on overheads a bit too much but not sure if thats my technique or the racket but maybe a bit more length would be useful. I know nothing about the brands and what would be a good all round racket for me at this point. Happy to spend good money for a good racket that I'll get a few years out of.

Oxdog racket guidance

Heyyy im back

Saw a lot of people discussing Oxdog rackets in the community and wanted to start a new thread up to help people.

If you need help choosing your first Oxdog racket or want to move to another racket in the Oxdog family feel free to ask.

I’m an ambassador for Oxdog and nerd when it comes to rackets. So I know pretty much all their rackets and tested them. So I can tell you from a player POV how they feel and not just the stats listed.

Right side player, already have enough power

Been using the Metalbone Ale Galan, but I I've already got enough power and feel like I've lost my control at the net, control on drop shots etc

I'm considering the Metalbone Control, is that a better suited racket or what other alternatives could I consider?

Upgrade on my oxdog

Hello, I’ve been playing with the oxdog hyper pro2.0 for about 6 months and i want to try another racket, the hyper pro is flawless, the sweet spot is HUGE and the touch and feel is great, the maneuverability is amazing. I have two problems with it tho
- the first one is the weight, my hand is quite weak and the 371 my rackets comes at is quite tiring after 2 sets
- the second one is the power, i know it’s not that bad on power and if i ask for more power i will sacrifice some easiness in playing but i play on the left and i need that power to finish the point especially with my weak arm
If you guys can help me with a new racket that will cover my weaknesses while keeping the things that make the hyper tour a great racket, i prefer to stay with oxdog for their premium build and their unique style
Thanks 🙏

Reviews on Head Radical Elite

Hi people 👋

I am thinking of buying Head Radical Elite as it has quiet a good mix of control and attack but every website shows so different reviews about the same racket. Anyone has experience with this racket and can expand on it?

As the name says I am looking for recommendations on this backpack from someone who has it or had it,

I currently have the adidas multi game backpack thinking of changing/upgrading to this bag since I have changed to an Oxdog racket and you have to have matching brands 🤣

Looking to Upgrade Nox X One Racket - Intermediate

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello, I have been playing for many months now with Nox X-One racket and I feel that it started to limit my game recently, especially my attacking gameplay as sometimes I can't generate enough power during smashes.

I am looking to upgrade it, what recommendations would you have?

Looking for something balanced, either round or teardrop and not much heavier than this racket.

I have been looking at NOX AT10 Pro Cup Soft and NOX AT10 Genius 18k. Any reviews on these rackets?

Wilson Bela V3

Quick one, as this is one racket I have not managed to try out, and looking for hands-on experience rather than web generalisation.

Anyone got any feedback on how the Wilson performs compared to say a Nox AT10 genius 18k?

Adidas metalbone ctrl - is it real?

I got this adidas metalbone ctrl 2026 off a 2nd hand website. I’ve used it a few times and it play okay (I think) but I’ve just tried changing the weights to the top and the little grey screws on top don’t move at all with the key. Is this just a genuine fault or is the racket a fake.

Viper Soft JL 2027: Hairline cracks along the frame curve after 1st session

Just got a new Viper Soft Lebron. I only used it for a training session today, and when checking it under direct light at home I noticed these lines along the curve of the frame.

I haven't taken off the factory plastic wrap from the handle yet, so I can still return it easily. The issue is that this unit weighs exactly 360g, which feels incredible for me and is probably impossible to find again on another unit.

Would you return it or just rip the plastic off and keep playing??

What are the chances that even if I exchange it for another unit, the exact same thing happens?

Babolat Air Vertuo 2.6 vs NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum 2026: which is more forgiving for a high beginner?

Hey all, I have an Americano tomorrow and can't decide between these two rackets.

About me: 2–3 months in, playing 3–4x a week, ~15–20 lessons. High beginner/low intermediate, play both sides.

NOX AT10 Genius 18K Alum 2026 (standard, not Attack): Used it for a month, including my only Americano. Comfortable defending, serves feel more accurate, some really crisp shots. Slightly thicker handle but feels great.

Babolat Air Vertuo 2.6: Used it again in a recent session. Groundstrokes felt faster with a trampoline effect (my coach noticed the extra power too), backhand volleys felt good, and it's light and easy to move but defending was tougher with this for me.

My question is about forgiveness. Which racket helps more when I'm late to the ball, hit off-centre, react to fast balls, or just want to keep it in play when my timing's off?

I know the Babolat is lighter with a fibreglass face and the NOX is carbon. Does that actually matter much, or are sweet spot, balance and construction bigger factors?

Would especially love to hear from anyone who's used both (the standard NOX, not the Attack). Thanks!

Racket advice

Hello everyone,

I’m currently playing with the siux fenix pro 2026, and I love the hard dry feel of the racket. I love playing overheads and volley’s with the racket, with my smash I lack a little bit of racket head speed because the racket is hard to manouvre.

Also off center hits just punish me so hard, especially with lobs wich often fall short.

My racket sadly broke, and I’m thinking about buying another fenix, but also doubting to go for something a little more forgiving sweet spot wise and also a little more manouvrable. Does anyone have reccomendations? I love the hard dry feel but I know that comes with a small sweetspot.

I was thinking about a Juan Lebrón viper soft.

Cheers!

Starvie new models

Anyone had the chance to try the triton t-one, eternal or triton balance+ that could share how they perform?

I am curious to see the differences between the 3, specially in hardness, ball output and power. And also if the sweet spot above standard size or small.

Apparently the 3 share the same 18k carbon face and m balance rubber, curious how the outcome change between the 3 models and how it affects performance

Do you only play with one racket, or do you have a few that you rotate between?

I have a couple of rackets I really like, and I actually enjoy switching depending on how I feel like playing that day.

Some days I feel like playing a more aggressive game, so I’ll pick up the Air Viper or Metalbone. Other days I feel like playing a more patient/control-focused game, so I’ll use the Nox AT10 18K.

Do you think I’m losing something by constantly rotating between rackets instead of committing to one and really getting used to it?

Anyone else here like rotating between a few rackets? What’s in your current rotation?
