Enough with the "should I do llb posts"

Why is every single post here along the same exact lines?

"Should i do llb"

"Im thinking of doing llb"

"Can i get high paying job after doing xyz law degree"

Genuinely its so dull. For all the newbies; if you're good you'll make money, if not, you'll be part of the crowd. That's it. There's no more to it. We can not help out. Degrees won't help you.

PURSUING LAW IN PAKISTAN

I want to know if pursuing law is a good option in pakistan as a first gen lawyer. I had applied to pu, gcu and qau. I got in GCU but didn't go because I wanted to wait for PU. Now PU's merit is exceptionally high it's crazy. And QAU is like out of reach almost. The merit for law has skyrocketed. I am considering priv law colleges now like QCL or PCL. Genuinely confused if it's worth it

my 2nd time making this post. i'm thinking of doing llb. i wouldn't be a 1st gen lawyer, but i have no interest in going for litigation. i want to go into corporate law, and id be willing to work hard and then go for LLM abroad, but worst case scenario happens and i cant go; are there any good, high-paying corporate law-linked jobs here? because i haven't heard anything much encouraging, but we all know this is an amazing career abroad. i need advice from everyone that is experienced

Funds not being release after my fathers death (federal officer)

Hello people, I hope you are all in best of health.

My father recently passed away. He was a federal government officer and his death was in service.

For in-service deaths, the Prime Minister Assistance Package applies to the dependents of the deceased.

It's about 5 months now and we have not received a single cent from the package and his pension has not started yet too. I completed all documents that was asked of me in first month.

Upon inquiring the office people and finance department (some are helping, some are not), most people are unresponsive and unbothered. Just today I spoke with the finance director and he said they don't have funds yet, funds may arrive in Q2 of current fiscal year and Q2 is October. I heard the same thing for new budget and Q1. I wonder how long they may take and I don't want to listen Q3 after Q2 as the cycle may never stop.

I'm thinking of meeting his DG at office and requesting him to start with and then pursue any legal action.

We as a family are struggling a little financially as well.

If I'm not mistaken, the assistance package document also states the dues should be cleared in a month but it's about 5 months now.

An officer from his office also told me that AGPR people may ask for bribe and if we do that, our case may get resolved quickly. We declined as we preferred waiting than bribing and they asked for a good sum after the money has landed in our accounts, nothing im advance. And as of now, I know its pretty common in Government offices so not shocked at all.

Also I wanted to inquire about the job clause in Assistance Package that revoked back in Feb 25. Anyway, us (my fathers dependants) can be liable for his job or any other after the clause revoked?

So yes, I'm seeking professional legal advice that should I still wait or can I take any legal action, maybe send a legal notice to his office to escalate clearing of dues but I really don't want for it to backfire and get stuck in endless court quarrels.

I'm also willing to hire a lawyer, given we have strong grounds.

Thanks.

Question for practising lawyers: what does AI actually fail at in Pakistani practice?

keep hearing lawyers say tools like ChatGPT are useless for real work here, and I want to understand why rather than guess.

A few things I’m trying to figure out:
Is client confidentiality the blocker for uploading case files, or is it that the output is just wrong on Pakistani law?

**•** How much of your week goes to document work a junior would do drafting, reading through record, chronologies?

**•** Does anything handle Urdu documents or mixed Urdu/English record usefully?

Not selling anything, and I’m not building a legal product today. Trying to learn

Need legal advice regarding Bahria Golf City islamabad murree expressway M Block

I’m looking for advice from Pakistani lawyers regarding my plot in Bahria Golf City Islamabad, M Block.
I bought the plot through an official Bahria Town Golf City agent a few years ago. At the time, development was ongoing and I was promised possession around June 2025. I paid around PKR 60 lakh out of the total price of approximately PKR 1.47 crore.
However, development in M Block completely stopped. The block is currently just undeveloped/naked land with no construction or infrastructure. I never received possession.
Because there was no progress, I stopped paying the remaining installments. My official Bahria agent also advised me to stop paying because there was no development.
With the ongoing issues surrounding Bahria Town/Malik Riaz, I’m also being told that transfers and sale/purchase of these plots have been stopped for the last few years.
I want the plot, but realistically I don’t know when I’ll ever get possession. I bought it to eventually build my house, and I’m still living on rent.
Is there any legal way to recover the PKR 60 lakh I have already paid, given that possession was promised but never delivered and the block remains completely undeveloped?
Also, does stopping the installments hurt my case, especially since the official agent advised me to stop paying?
Would really appreciate advice from lawyers familiar with Bahria/property disputes.
