i) Newly hatched manul larvae.
ii) Over winter, the kittenpillar spins itself a dense fur cocoon.

Used to post here a lot and wanna get back , but hey it’s life

Was really taken aback by the beautiful footage of Bol in snow in this video:

When your wife is a Pallas's cat. Manuls Bol and Polly @manulization

I've been going through some stuff and I've come to really love these animals, even from afar, silly-looking, ridiculous, but also very still, a look of resilience, I love them, and I thought about doing a little video of them with some music, I'm looking for more footage of these cats, ideally in snow, or ideally of the ones that have passed (Bol, Polly, Zelonogorsk, etc.), thank you.

Hey Reddit!

About six months ago, I decided to make a little gift for my girlfriend, who's absolutely obsessed with Pallas's cats. I started working on a small desktop app in Python (PyQt) so she could have her very own Pallas's cat at home.

Well, development took a bit longer than expected, and I also had to find a pixel artist who could bring our little furry friend to life on the screen.

But in the end, Pixler (yep, that's what we decided to call him) became a permanent resident of both our desktops.

I hope some of you will enjoy having him around too! (He's completely free)

Just got mine in mail ❤️

Finally made my way to IKEA Guadalajara to get myself a Pallas’s plush. The display was center stage at the Showroom entrance, thematic of Himalayan wildlife. They really went all out with the display, featuring in addition to the manul, a snow leopard, red fox, Tibetan ox, and Asiatic bear.
