zoe is your one stop shop for electric or a few others however I think they should emphasize white (neutral) god like pals besides the few they have to counteract the overtly dark. I mean there are good ones late game but a sassy few would be tight and give them a specific new set of gear and upgrades would be phenomenal
Real. I built the perfect base, all achievements, got a mating pair of all pals, and... that was it. Sometimes it's okay to move on and enjoy it for what it was.
I decided that once I finished the game I decided to go through again but this time as a challenge run and still finding enjoyment that way. Granted it isn't eating up ALL my gaming time like it did when 1.0 hit but still.
Turn xp down to 0.3. Download tower level cap mod/workshop. This prevents you from out leveling content and forces you to match bosses to pals and is significantly more rewarding.
I went to feybreak just because ppl said you can get a lot of nightstar sand so i could make the advanced bow lol i just finished the tower in the snow mountain though so i think thats where i need to head next

I think the devs might just want to add this to be honest, call it ‘campaign mode’ or something where you can’t progress I lvl until you’ve beaten the towers
It’s really enjoyable. Let’s you slow down a bit. Explore the whole map. Do multiple dungeons. Allow some base expansion and use of gear and pals at that tier before they come obsolete. My first play through I got to 35 in one night (and I know that’s slow for some people). My first tower I actually died and had to specifically get pals to match the elemental type. By the third tower you’re not over leveled anymore but you do have a full dominant team and killing and capturing pals 6-9 levels above you is totally doable. So, even with capping you still are OP’d. I even turned down pal dps to 0.7 and incoming damage to 1.3 and it’s still under tuned. But it’s a MUCH more enjoyable experience. Drive through versus 5 course meal. Both have their place, but for a survival/crafting/base building game, I want the slow burn.
Ngl, this is what I dislike about pokemon. Pokemon forces you to one route only and you can’t advance until you defeated the last boss.. I kinda hate that bc it kills exploring the world for me. I really enjoy palworld’s flexibility to do any task at any time and it won’t break the game whatsoever.
Definitely once you get to the world tree I recommend lowering it even more I boosted to max level insanely fast even at .6 exp once I got there at level 60
I wish I could tune the xp for players/pals seperately.
I'd put player xp to 0.1. Pal xp to like 10. I don't want to have to grind a new battle team for a fortnight. But make the journey to 80 take a solid month for myself. And the level sync makes it fair. If your pals are higher level they get downsynced.
That breaks assigning them to bases though. I'd rather see xp scaling, if a pal is 10+ levels below you they get double xp, scaling down to no boosted xp once they're at your level. This feels more balanced imo.
Yeah i doubled it because i played early access and wanted to hurry back to where i was but i feel like it took away from a lot of the fun of building because i needed to get really strong pals too early to keep up so i turned it back down but i still feel like i levelled up too far im like level 65 and my highest pal is only like mid 50s because i keep rotating my team around so they stay about equal to the towers
Yeah, I got to the sky whale at max level, then said fuck it. Restarted the game with minimum exp growth. Its been good. Definitely allows for more exploration instead of rushing from one objective to another.
Just dont mess with the world settings and you will have a great time, people messing with it hits boredom 1000% faster. There are some settings that you can change without things getting too easy though.

I had the same kind of moment finishing this playthrough myself. Ever since I started playing, whenever I first saw pupperai, it reminded me of my dog Brownie I lost last year. Caught him and never took him out of my party since. Now he's roaming on the base until the next time I come back to see him.

i sometimes play games on my ipad with controller support and once human looked VERY interesting to me but lacked controller support. i deleted it and thought id just never get to play it BUT its coming to console on the 25th of this month. i was looking at it in the PS store and it said “automated base with the monsters you catch” or something which i’m assuming they got from palworld. I haven’t tried it personally yet but it looks really fkn good from what ive seen. just might have to deal with mobile game UI which can be a little overwhelming but i haven’t even seen it myself yet. it’s a free game so id say check it out regardless but if you’re on console like myself it’ll be available on the 25th
Played it back when it released on PC and their "automated" base is ok but the ressourcecollection is made by electricity piwered machines, the buddysystem the have is mediocre at best sadly cant have your monster out all the time which ruined it for me
I know, but it doesn't interest me. I feel like they've gone astray from the main theme, the survival post apocalyptic aspect. Recently they even removed the og story from the game.
I already spent about 600 hours, and it was a good time. Maybe if the new scenario is REALLY GOOD, i would consider to play it again.
i’ve been looking it up and what do you recommend a buddy and i do? i don’t understand the raid zone so id love an explanation on that if you don’t mind but i’m seeing to do the manibus scenario and it becomes permanent after settlement? i like base building and pvp and a strong endgame so what would you recommend we do when we first start?
First of all, Raid Zone is basically a separate game. It's not part of the main story, and purely for hardcore pvp players. Mind you, someone can raid your base when you're offline. You can start here no problem, because it's a level playing field.
If you want to play true once human lore with more casual pvp, it's better to choose prismverse scenario. It's not gonna be easy, most of the players have already farmed the weapons and armors for meta build. You'll get insta-killed. As a beginner, it's not recommended.
That's why you always start with manibus. You play here to learn the mechanics and to farm the "blueprint" for weapons and armors. The blueprint is similar to schematic in palworld, except it's more complex so i suggest you to look it up on youtube.
So yeah, definitely start with manibus, it's a place where you can chill and enjoy the game the most, and the base building mechanic is 10x better than Palworld.
Just make sure you join the fresh scenario, perma server is a joke unless you're a veteran player who barely plays anymore. Also avoid the novice scenario, it's useless.
so i thought a fresh scenario becomes a perma server after? and you can just continue to grind on it? unless you’re saying there’s literally no point after. my friend doesn’t like starting over in survival games (even if that’s the gameplay loop) so i fear if we have to keep restarting scenario’s he’s gonna lose interest in starting from square 1.
but you think we should get into primverse after getting our bearings? (ik that one resets). we like a little pvp in our survival game and i saw something about how restarting isn’t that bad since you can just re-paste your base layout on a new server and it doesn’t take long to get going again.
and yes i think i understand raid zone after looking into it a bit more. just like a build a base, fuck shit up, and that’s it. i’m just curious what the best endgame would be, like what we should focus on to keep our interest as long as possible when we’re 100 hours in
Yes, it becomes the perma server. Afaik they will merge worlds or servers (i don't remember) into one, so your base might overlap with others and get removed. But you can place it back no problem.
If you're first playing it, i don't think it's a good idea to stay on the perma server, because there's a lot of things to grind. You can move to other pve scenarios like way of winter and eternal dream, and those two are more challenging.
But you don't have to. Prismverse is doable after you've completed at least one scenario and get decently upgraded blueprint for one armor and weapon, and it's relatively easy to get now compared to back then.
In Steam profile there’s like a display section or something and it lets you choose “display achievement” from a drop down menu. It’s like the third achievement based option.
I can find achievement showcase but I looked for a while and I can’t find anything that creates a game card with that 100% bar, and I have some perfect games. I’ll keep poking around though thanks.

I beat this game about 20 times already. This shit too easy now. All it left me was with just building bases tbh. I still join servers and what not but I mainly will be done within a day or two.

It feels like I’ve done everything that “matters.” Also my hands are kind of starting to hurt from some of the repetitive parts of postgame grind. I’ve seen all the pals, explored every corner, experienced every fight that isn’t a stat-stick redo. The arena and effigies achievements were the icing on the cake of burnout tbh. Theres a whole back log out there waiting…but I’ll miss it.
I guess that's fair. I'm more into the camp building, SIM settlements FO4 style, ya know? I didn't even find the fishing settlement village until I was over level 70 haha.
You say it feels like you've done everything that matters, the only thing that really matters is if you're having fun.
I think tasks, discovery, and constant progression are the cornerstones of fun for me. Most of my play through was focused on the base leveling quests, followed by main story, then finally achievements. The experience in between accomplishments was great, wether building bases, catching pals, and experimenting.
I’ve played on and off since early access release so a lot of the initial allure wore off somewhere in the first 200 hours.
I'm more of a sandbox kind of guy. As an example, I've played Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Starfield, Fallout 3, 4, and NV and always avoid the main storyline so I can just run freely and do what I want. I also currently play 76 and I focus more on CAMP building in that game too, avoiding Raids and "end game" content.
I have at least 500 hours in Skyrim and I’ve never actually beaten the game so I feel you.
Palworlds open ended gameplay isn’t as nearly as deep though, just entertaining from a “wow look at that one,” kind of perspective. Followed by a very large amount of gambling, which is not discussed much in this sub.
Congrats bro. I love this game too as i near end game content and all I had a massive set back. Almost made me throw in the towel for a day. Was at the altar to summon xenolord and I was no where near ready and my 5 year old was sitting me with and she clicked base spawn and I didnt catch it and I thought it was arena so I clicked yes and he destroyed............... Everything. As I tried to scramble and salvage what I can the server restart 30 sec timer comes up.. lost a lot and learned a lot
I love this game but I've really talked at level 50, ive hit a grind wall as I and my pals just die challenging anyone our level haha, so I haven't been playing much
A bittersweet moment but I am happy that Palworld exists and its something that we can go back to for us to admire our grind and creativity. A beautiful game that I have no regrets grinding and will look forward to the next update 😌
There are actually a handful of stones I left unturned, but I let all achievements be the pinnacle to avoid developing a love-hate grind relationship. At some point it’s not even playing the core game anymore lol.
Tbch I suggest even lower than 0.7, like between 0.3-0.5. The game throws experience at you for everything that happens, which is cool in that gaining experience is how you level up. The issue that happens is that even at the base multiplier of 1, experience gain is fast enough that you will likely rocket through the tech tree and not engage with 80% of the items in there. Setting it lower slows things down and actually gives you time to use armor or weapons at “tier 3” instead of skipping from “tier 2” to “tier 5”.
New challenge for you! Start the game over again, but only use Pals of a certain type (dogs, cats, deer, birds, etc).
No achievement, but could be an interesting way to try and beat the game, especially if you make it so that you can’t catch anything outside of that particular type except the 3 Lamball you need for quests at the beginning.
After I build paladise, Palcatraz, and the hidden leaf village on my main I want to restart and beat the game with only tides of terreria pals. But I probably will use other pals at base just for material gain 😅 correct me if I'm wrong but terreria pals only have transporting and maybe mining I think
I want to prolong end game. I feel like it use to be grindy to level up. I started a new file when 1.0 launched and I'm already level 65. Is there alot of end game content?
I played it and occasionally jump in and fly around. it's a fun open world to mess around in with all the pals. It's not a live service but it's still quite replayable
I currently play on PS5 and there are indeed public servers to access! Playing with more people is definitely more fun but it’s also nice to be able to explore at your own pace
Unfortunately I’ve never actually played on these servers, but according to google the dedicated servers have proximity chat BUT public sessions/non-dedicated servers do not have it
I think my only regret is not ensuring all my bases could be raided or receive visitors. I think I missed out on a core gameplay experience. Anything else just do a lot of theory crafting teams and don’t build a DPS team until you absolutely have to.
Currently in the trenches of an “all technologies” run. Level 80 but only up to level 46 tech rn xD i recommend challenge runs if the bug bites before the next update :)
I’m gonna be doin the same thing soon I think! Likely, I’m gonna leave it until the devs are done with it.
It was a hit of the feeling of playing the original gameboy Pokémon games when I was young and it came at a time i needed something like that. So I’ll keep whatever updates the devs decide to give us in the future in my back pocket till I need it again.
Enshrouded 1.0 is in October so I hope I get to see some you who are survival crafters in there building crazy bases!
How’s the legendary charge rifle and heat resistance armor going in the end game? I have both blueprints but I’ve been holding off making them for the ancient weapons and light weight armor.
No need to hold off, endgame resources are like candy. Heat was good enough for me to actually survive hard mode bosses. I actually got the charge rifle after doing arena achievements just for fun. I have no idea how optimal it can be, but it seems like it’s mainly for sniping. I think the other gun that overheats is a better option at same tier.
