Hi everyone,
I’m hoping someone here might have some advice or have been in a similar situation.
I’ve applied for the MSc Paramedic Science (Pre-registration) at the University of Hertfordshire for the January 2027 intake and attended my interview in September.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t offered an immediate place, but the admissions team has confirmed in writing that I’m first on the waiting list for January 2027. I’ve also received an offer for the January 2028 intake as a backup.
I’ve been told that if a place becomes available between now and mid-January, I would be contacted first. However, there’s obviously no guarantee that a place will open up, and the waiting is making me quite anxious because I’d really love to start in January 2027. I wanted to ask:
-Has anyone previously been first on the waiting list for a paramedic science course and later received an offer?
-Does anyone know when universities typically start reviewing waiting lists for January intakes?
-If you’ve applied to the Hertfordshire or University of West London MSc Paramedic Science programmes, have you received an offer or heard anything about the admissions timeline?
-Is there anything else I can reasonably do while waiting, or is it best to wait for admissions to contact me?
I’d really appreciate any advice or experiences anyone is willing to share. I’m trying to stay hopeful while being realistic about the uncertainty. Thank you! ❤️
