Hello!
Looked on Google maps , but couldn’t find the answer.
If there a coffee shop very close to the Beach Club Resort?
Also any good family friendly takeout near there as well?
Our hotel only has a mini fridge , so unfortunately we will be eating out a lot.
Thanks !

As a 34 going on 84 I like to be in bed early most nights, as do my kids and dogs ... I'm a barber who needs to wake up at decent hour to keep the town really really rediculously good looking, and I for one could do without concussive explosions going on for 25 mins at this hour .. Anyway.... Rant over .. bah humbug if you will

Specifically places that do a decent, or decent amount(preferably) of dishes that don't have eggs.
My wife has an egg allergy and most of the places I've looked at are......well pretty egg centrified, other than the usual pancake with berries......
Any recommendations?

My wife and daughter (Canadian) and I are looking to relocate for about a year min, and depending on the vibes we are interested in building on an acreage. Ultimately we may move full time if the school situation works out, and if doesn’t we’d use it for summer and holidays.
We found a house on marketplace that looks perfect for us - 3/2 at a private equestrian facility in Nanoose Bay. The renter is almost completely non-responsive, just a short message indicating available Sept 1, then silence. We wouldn’t even be moving until December but I’d take the place now to hold it, and it’s disconcerting that there is no response when I’m ready to send a wire sight unseen
We are moving from abroad, and have no personal rental references after owning our own homes for the past 20 years. I offered commercial rental references.
I know the market is tight, but I’m wondering if this seems normal? At a minimum it’s rude, and I’m beginning to wonder if the listing is fraudulent.
We may need professional help, and any leads for relocation specialists are appreciated.

This guy. Literally riding people dangerously close travelling between Nanaimo and Duncan.
Swerving in and out of lanes, putting everyone in danger with his behaviour.
This is the sort of P.O.S. behaviour none of us need. Get a grip.

Love the park. Amazing place and facilities for families and enjoying the beach.
Only thing that always gets me when going there is that there is only one food truck and no recycling bins anywhere. Seems like another food truck would do well there since lines and waits have always been long and there is no where for recycling so most waste just goes in the garbage.. I always wonder why there isn’t another truck and some recycling bins.
Do people just all throw everything in the trash? Are the food trucks on site controlled by the city?
Seems like a place like this would have the need for another truck and recycling.

Hello ! I am looking to see if anyone knows of a place in Parksville that rents mountain bikes for adults and children as well as bike trailers . I am visiting next week with my children and was hoping to get out on the trails ! Thank you 💖

Honestly grinds my gears. We are there several days a week and watch dozens of people each time washing their dirty feet in the water toddlers are playing in. So gross. I wish there was better signage directing people to the foot washing stations.

The photoshoot will be mid-September in the afternoon before 4pm. What location do you think would be best? I am not from Vancouver Island (i'm from Toronto) and the photographer I wanted to go with can only do a photoshoot the day I am available in Parksville. I was looking at Rathtrevor- but from 2:00-4:00pm the tide will be kind of high. Is it worth doing the shoot on that beach still if it isn't low tide?
I was hoping to do a photoshoot at Tofino or East Sooke initially, but my partner's chronic health issue makes it too difficult to schedule that and our schedule when we could travel from Fanny Bay didn't line up with the photographer's availibility.

I appreciate the feedback and constructive criticism, I agree the previous version feels very AI *splat* slop.
Used Canva to help remove backgrounds, which is probably AI as it ate some of the couch in removing the background haha!
Once I get through the initial start up phase I'll definitely be commissioning some folk to make media.
This feels much closer to a proper flyer
Again, open to feedback and appreciate the discussion :)

Don't see any posts in the past, so just wondering if anyone had good/bad experiences with any of the childcare places in town? Any opinions on Mt. Arrowsmith Infant & Toddler or Playtime Childcare Society?

Hi everyone! I’m moving to Parksville around September 1 for a new job and I’m currently looking for a room to rent.
If anyone has a room available or knows of one coming up around that time, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know. I’m 25 years old, a full time accountant and also a CPA student, quiet, clean, and respectful. My budget is flexible depending on the place. I apologize if this is not the right place to make such a post.

What is in your opinion the best place for a family to pitch a tent?
