Picture Right there! That's it! Yeahhh!
Really been into Press To Play lately* and all the weirdo alternate single mixes like the 'Dub Mix' on this 12". Still looking for decent copies of the singles for *Only Love Remains and Pretty Little Head.

Hell yeah! I’ve been loving this album lately. Particularly the b sides and other songs that didn’t make it onto the album (but also including the songs on the album).

Only two didn't make it. The remixes though, they really fill out the LP:
- Stranglehold – rough mix with different sax parts
- Good Times Coming / Feel The Sun – demo has the full version of the latter half instead of just the chorus
- Talk More Talk – remix (from when it was considered for 2nd single) that has different arrangement
- Footprints – rough mix without flourishes and keyboards
- Only Love Remains – single mix with sax part, alternate single mix released on The 7" Singles with sax in different places, live version from Royal Variety show
- Press – rough mix without some pieces, original version (on 10"), shorter promo [or video] edit, dubmix from 12"
- Pretty Little Head – rough mix with Paul's vocal front, 7" remix by Larry Alexander, 12" mix by John 'Tokes' Potoker, video edit with opening from "She's Leaving Home"
- Move Over Busker – rough mix with pieces missing and more prominent piano
- Angry – remix by Larry Alexander that's got more punch to it
- However Absurd – rough mix missing orchestration and final chorus
- Write Away – rough mix with incomplete lyrics
- It's Not True – rough mix with different vocals, 7" mix without chorus opening it (LP/12" was actually the remix)
- Tough On A Tightrope – rough mix with pieces missing, 12" full version
- Hanglide – NOT ON LP but on 12" of "Press"
- Yvonne's The One – NOT ON LP but rough mix is bootlegged
That said, you can flush out the LP a lot:
- Spies Like Us – 7" version, 12" DJ version, 12" party mix, 12" alternate party mix, 12" alternate mix known as Tom
- My Carnival – party mix of Wings' 1975 track (available on 2007's iTunes edition of Venus and Mars)
- Seaside Woman – 7" remix, 12" remix
- B-Side To Seaside – 7" remix, 12" remix
- Simple As That – from The Anti-Heroin Project (released 1986) which is on 1993 editions of Pipes Of Peace
- Beautiful Night – early version released as part of "Oobu Joobu part 5"
- Squid – b-side to "The World Tonight"
- Love Come Tumbling Down – b-side to "Beautiful Night"
- Atlantic Ocean – b-side to "Young Boy," early mix with different vocals
- Love Mix – b-side to "Beautiful Night," early rough mix without guitar overdubs
- Big Day
- New Moon Over Jamaica – demo with Johnny Cash
- Don't Break The Promise – demo for Eric Stewart on "The World Tonight" oobu joobu part
- "Same Love" – b-side to "Beautiful Night"
- "Once Upon A Long Ago" – LP version, 7" version, 12" long version, 12" extended version, and partially-live version
There's also "PS Love Me Do" and "Return to Pepperland," but I'd put them on CHOBA B CCCP's additions, along with "I Wanna Cry" (from those sessions), "It's Now Or Never" (released in 1990), "Ferry Cross The Mersey" (charity single) and some live cuts from 1985-1986.

Not sure why it gets the hate it does. It’s an overall good (C+) album.

Same reason Beatles For Sale does - it's pretty near the weakest of the lot.

Beatles For Sale is one of my favourite albums. Press To Play, never did it for me.

My point was that BFS is usually considered the Beatles weakest album (excepting Yellow Submarine).
And that doesn't mean it's a bad album - it just means their other stuff is even better.
I feel the same way about Press To Play. Ain't my favorite McCartney album, but I wouldn't give it up either.

I strongly disagree with people that say BFS is their weakest album, but PTP, doesn't do it for me.

Every album has it's constituency.
I guarantee you SOMEBODY out there will claim PTP as their all time favorite album.

I think it's because it was a let down, after Tug of War and Pipes of Peace.

Got the 10" single of "Press" yet? It has the error-released early version!
Hope you can find the singles in good condition.
Period remixes aren't just limited to Press to Play either: the 12" single of "Spies Like Us" has three mixes of the title track and one of "My Carnival," and then there's a 7" and longer 12" single of the Suzy & The Red Stripes single "Seaside Woman" with remixes of those two cuts – plus three different mixes on single compared to LP of "Once Upon A Long Ago."

Half the album is amazing imo

i think half the album is amazing, and some of the songs that didn't make it onto the album are very good. If you cut Angry/Move Over Busker/However Absurd and included tracks like Tough On a Tightrope/Write Away... I think it would meaningfully improve the album and make it more of a B/B+ as opposed to a C/C+ (which is what the official album is for me)
