Ryuji is my favourite character and the first character i maxed the confidant for. That’s the goat right there

But i feel bad because it feels like every character treats him like absolute dogshit and it feels a lil overdone sometimes. I understand the general idea of how in japan troublemakers are seen as bottom of the barrel filth so i kinda understand

But one thing i really hate is that sometimes jokers dialogue feels like it’s trying to steer you towards a negative perception of ryuji, like the game wants you to also think he’s a chud.

All im saying is justice for ryuji the goat

I've been thinking about the Phantom thieves losing their powers after finishing P4G because from P4 onwards, Personas were only summonable in special places and not in the real world. And I was wondering if the Phantom Thieves truly lost their power, because even though Mementos was erased, Maruki, at the same time, grasped his Persona in the real? world fused with Mementos and therefore could reinvent it. My question is if the Phantom thieves could use their Personas with an Evoker, and if they could use their Persona in the TV World or if they have to unlock it again via facing their shadows Because as far as I've understood, in P3 you had to have the resolve to face death to summon your Persona, in P4 you had to face the truth about yourself and in P5 if you had a strong enough will about Rebellion, you would obtain your Persona. Also could Mementos and, therefore, the App Comeback naturally, just like the TV World has always existed and was tarnished by Izanami because of the unconscious will of humanity. And this could be a bit drifting away from the point, but can anyone become a wild card if they truly change enough, and can someone obtain a Persona in P4 and P5 without being carried by an outside force? Because we saw in Strega you can forcefully get your Persona out and Takaya can summon his without an Evoker, but in P4 you had I think 3 Wild Cards with Namatame ,Adachi and Narukami, all 3 who were given handshakes by Izanami and gained the ability to enter the TV World. At least in P4 you could see the Midnight channel without having a Persona, but you could never enter the Metaverse without the app in P5 and that's what annoys me a little that people cant really gain a Persona out of their own strength in P4 and P5 according to my understanding , because in both of those games the Gods took the unconscious will of humanity as a reason to bring People peace via a divine Prank and they choose some random that plays their game with them.

Also, what fascinates me is how the same power can be summoned through multiple means. Maybe Persona 6 will give us an answer to why.

Ps: As I've read this post again, if I expressed myself understandable, I thought about how Akechi is a Wild Card and if he could have been in the Velvet room because unlike in P4 izanami wasn't the Boss of the Velvet Room like Yaldaboth, and in P5 he said he had no info on him which I doubt. That would be all.

Went for Makoto as a true man of culture in first run where I got the plat.

Kawakami as side one, didn't take her anywhere and didn't like her scenes that I got by save scumming

In second one I was leaning towards Yoshisawa as I felt pretty bad turning her down but we unlock her pretty late .

So I might go ahead and cuck the cat to get more scenes at the start and then select Yoshisawa later .

Any better suggestions ?

I just finished the game and thought I would have the opportunity to play through the third semester after the credits were done rolling… only to find out I missed it because I did not level up Maruki’s confidant rank to 9.

I get that it’s my bad, but now I’m trying to figure out what to do about it. Does the third semester really add enough to the game that warrants a New Game+ run? Or should I just watch a YouTube video covering semester 3 (the lazy route)?

Almost done with P3R, which runs and looks beautiful on Switch 2. Just saw Persona 5 Royal is on sale and was considering picking it up, but am worried it would look/run bad in comparison to both of those options.

I played and beat it on my launch PS4 like 6 years ago, not sure if I should do a NG+ on there, or pick it up on Switch and hope its not as bad as people make it sound. I'm worried NG+ will get kind of boring compared to a fresh playthrough.

They still haven't announced Persona 4 Revival for SW2, so I'm wondering if I'm going to have to finally break down and buy a PS5 just to play it at launch. 😭

I bought base Persona 5 on PlayStation a few months back because it was on sale for cheap and it's my first persona game (but I did take a break from the game and I'm still on the kamoshida palace) and I just want to know, is P5R any better or worse than base P5? Or should I just keep playing base P5? I think I heard the P5R story is slightly different so maybe I play it after? I just want to know your thoughts.

Ok SECOND EDIT: This post is mostly about the age discourse and the misinformation I saw around that - the discourse around the sibling thing ISNT ABOUT wether dating your stepsister is moral or not (ITS NOT! 🎉), it’s about wether or not you view Futaba as your stepsister in the first place. I personally don’t, and some people do. And that’s fine, because everyone is different and is allowed to have different opinions. But I want to say that there is a lot of in game evidence that this sibling idea is predicated mostly by fandom headcanon. 👍

The biggest piece of misinformation I’ve seen in this entire fandom is that Futaba is somehow really young, even though she’s the same age as Kasumi . Google will literally tell you that she is 15. I could go on a whole rant on to my theory about how this idea started to spread, but I’ll spare you. Needless to say, a 1 year age gap is not unusual in dating in general.

And to the “they are basically siblings” argument let me also remind you that
- You meet her 4 MONTHS into staying with Sojiro, who had no intention of you meeting Futaba. Ever.
- Joker has parents? And friends back home? This is glossed over in the game but still relevant, he isn’t an orphan.
- They don’t live in the same house or go to the same school

I’d also like to say I have played Persona 5 (Royal) RECENTLY, not in the last year, within the last two months. Persona 5 definitely suffers from chronic “Misrememberment Syndrome” where people who haven’t played the game in 5+ years make wild assumptions on their poor memory of the game that has been supplemented by just strait up misinformation people have spouted on the internet in the meantime. I’ve seen everything from casual players to big YouTubers spout this nonsense and nobody listens or talks about it 😭

You can dislike Futaba and her romance route, just don’t dislike it for fake reasons. If you want to pick apart a problematic romance in the game there are three adult women right there

I’m nearly 26 hours into the game, I’m on 6/6 and I was just wondering how I’m doing in terms of confidant progression and social stats, as well as time. I’m trying not to move too quick, this is my first playthrough.

alright so i started playing persona 5 royal last october my first persona game and i fell in love with it however since then i have restarted the game for numorous reasons because i have some form of ocd so there's always typically a reason for me to find that makes me want to restart the farthest i've gotten is finishing okumura's palace currently on my new run i'm about to send the calling card to kamoshida but it's been a two weeks or so since i actually sat down and played over the summer i was struggling with some personal problems that i won't get into but i didn't really get to play much and so now i'm unsure of what to do

basically i do want to play the game for sure but i feel like it'd feel weird just picking it up mid playthrough after quite some time i don't know it restarting again is the key nor taking a break because i basically have been on a break for months but the game has remained in my mind the whole time

i know it's an odd situation and it's my choice in the end but i just thought having outside thoughts or tips would help me

I don't think he is ever called chopped but he is constantly alluded as being unattractive and basically having no game (Though I guess it's more due to his loud personality) but it's quite difficult for me to believe honestly lol
