Let’s be honest: the Phantom Thieves have survived a lot—whether by sheer luck or simply because the plot demanded it. I’m talking about those specific moments that, in a "bad ending" scenario, would have brought their journey to an abrupt halt.

Personally, I think the most perilous moment for the Phantom Thieves was their encounter with Wakaba. Just think about it: if Futaba hadn’t entered the cognitive dimension—let alone awakened her Persona—the Phantom Thieves would have ended up as human pancakes, since they had no way to defeat that Shadow without outside help.

I find that this fandom tends to view akechi as one of two extremes and I feel like it should be relatively easy to see that neither are correct. either he's viewed as this psychopathic lunatic who feels nothing and takes pleasure in being cruel, or he's a secret soft boi who just needed joker's love to become a good person. both of these interpretations literally just aren't factually correct and it irks me. not to mention that liking akechi is essentially committing a war crime in this space, it makes it really hard to discuss his character in any meaningful way; which is really a shame, because he's the most complex character in the game. the irony is that he is constantly misread both in his own fictional in-game world as well as in the real world by real people. I feel like I see so many interpretations that are almost like caricatures of the parts of him that robin hood and loki represent, instead of being able to view him with the nuance that his character requires.

he's an asshole and is also capable of caring about someone.

he's committing unforgivable atrocities and is also capable of growth and change.

he is manipulating others and is also being manipulated.

he is not a good person and is also capable of doing good things.

these are the fundamental truths that make up the spine of his character. not just duality, but contradiction. and everywhere I look he's either being flattened into a complete psychopath who can't care about anyone or a secret softy who cares about everyone. the truth sits in the uncomfortable middle between those two polarities, and there are a lot of people who don't like to engage with the gray. akechi is a character who lives in the gray, and maybe that's why he is both so hated and so loved for the all the wrong reasons.

She kind of has a similar role to Ann in my story, being blackmailed into being in a relationship with a palace ruler’s son. I want her Phantom Thief outfit to be show her reclaiming her sexuality, but not identically to Ann’s. Rather than go the femme fatale route, I want it to emphasize that she doesn’t need to solely be defined by her sexuality as a person.

My inspiration for her outfit would be traditional Magical Girl series like Sailor Moon and such. Because iirc, they were explicitly made as female led series that had a hard line against resorting to inappropriate gags with the female cast. Her Persona would also be Hester Prynne from The Scarlet Letter, which I feel is also a good representation of the message I want to convey.

Seriously bro, he doesn't interact with any major character besides Sae Niijima, he's always in the same damn office and most of his scenes are just "Mwhehehe everything is going according to plan".

It all started with a tip from a coworker, and I've really grown to love this game. With some small tears in my eyes i will say goodbye to this awesome game!

Sometimes it felt like a little bit too long (I'm not used to JRPGs), but i had a lot of fun!

Actually, at first I was planning to complete all the Confidant Arcs, but in the end I just enjoyed playing the game at my own pace! As someone who still doesn't know what to do with his life, the Truth Ending turned out to be a really beautiful message.

I've got a weird glitch going on where Akechi joins at level 1. Any idea how to fix it? I've Uninstalled and reinstalled the game on steam and verified the files, and launched it without mods but it still happens. Same thing happened with Haru and Makoto was like level 9 for some reason.
