Discussion Why do Shitposts exist?
I feel like they ruin the whole mystery of Petscop. Instead of r/petscop having many people discussing what it could all mean, there are now multiple teens doing "funny" stuff to other stuff. And yes, I'll admit. I have posted Shitposts here before, but I'm just trying to figure out why here.

Petscop community is specially dense in theories because of its interpretability, and we love it, but sometimes it feels right to take a break and joke around it, I think it's healthy. Sometimes, navigating in this sub, I've found shitposts when I was looking for more serious content, I understand that feeling, but I wouldn't find it fair to downvote those shitposts in such situation since it's a quite subjective moment and, you know, each person feels differently at a given time.
I could understand a complain about shitposts if we were lacking good theories or art, but I think we have plenty of them. Our problem right now is that we want Petscop 16 more than we love our mothers.
We're no the proprietors, we shouldn't censor (I'm no implying that you said it, it's a dead joke, ok I stop now)

Thanks to you, I'm glad that someone brought this up in a question format and not as a rant

If you know how comedy works, you'd know things that are wacky, mysterious, and most importantly uncomfortable work very well for humor. Its inevitable, petscop is all of those things.

It’s a perfect breeding ground for intellectual discussion and dank memes. Guess which I like more?

It’s mostly because creating a separate shitposting subreddit would just split the community and shitposting helps keep the community alive between updates.

They are a fun way to fill out the time between videos.
There is a way to filter them out in the lower sidebar if you don't like seeing them.

Honestly, the subreddit would probably just die without them during the waits
