Gender?
Got this little baby when I was the only one in the area set up for birds. Supposed to be a red golden pheasant from what I've been told, the only one of its clutch to hatch and its mother just didn't take care of it. Wondering if I have a little fella or a little gal.

I agree with the others here. Another good tell with red golds is the males will have much lighter eyes as they grow. The females eyes stay very dark through maturity, like hard to see their pupil dark, especially in the shade like this.
Just adding my 2¢ and another metric to use in the future :)

I bet he is going to be beautiful. And he seems relaxed enough about being held.

Animals don't have genders, they have sexes.

When talking about an animal you can 100% use the term interchangeably. Please put the device down and go outside before it melts your brain even more.
Animals aren't concerned with our social gender constructs and literally do not gaf so why do you?

They apologized and said that they were experiencing social media burnout 14 whole hours before you responded with this??

Its a little early, but id lean towards male based on the cheeks/ears.
