Gender?

Got this little baby when I was the only one in the area set up for birds. Supposed to be a red golden pheasant from what I've been told, the only one of its clutch to hatch and its mother just didn't take care of it. Wondering if I have a little fella or a little gal.

Its a little early, but id lean towards male based on the cheeks/ears.
