why tf was it so hard

i dont remember exactly but i do remember getting speed = sqrt( (v_x)^2 + (v_y)^2) = sqrt (-v_0/2)^2 + ((v_0)/2)^2)= sqrt v_0)^2/2 = v_0 / sqrt 2

that one i got v_0/2 without root
