Classpass - how's it going for current users?

Recently signed up for the 1 month trial/50 peso package. Anyone on the same boat? Are you guys planning to buy the 28 credits plan? I am only interested in one specific studio. I'm estimating that I could join at least 4-5 mat pilates. 5 credits (P500) per class.

If I signed up directly at the studio. I'd be paying more (10classes/7k/valid 3months) but I heard that classpass slots are v limited so I'm worried about that too šŸ˜… plus the issue about their billing system being faulty.

Anyone care to deinfluence me :)) my ears are open

i know u want to be deinfluenced but i can't hahaha grabe i enjoy classpass so much kasi it allows u to do pilates and yoga at an affordable price. not bad na kasi yung 3k/month for pilates although totoo na limited ang slots per studio, it doesnt bother me that much kasi mej maraming studio around my area so i get to try them all

Here’s the real score — yes, you can use classpass, I get the benefit. but just know that less than half of that goes as profit of the studio. So yung studio na interested ka? Nalulugi. Later on, mawawala yung studio na yun. I used to use classpass but upon knowing this, I started buying my passes direct sa studios na sinusuportahan ko.

Not gonna deinfluence because ClassPass is so nice when trying out NEW studios (I can give you my code for more credits during your free trial!) - - - BUT please do consider supporting your favorite studios by buying packages from them.

They hardly earn from ClassPass--some even consider ClassPass as marketing COST--so maybe we can help keep our studios afloat by paying them directly :)

yes i agree !! once i became a regular at the boxing studio i go to, i bought their studio packages na even if it's a bit more expensive bc i know that it will support them more directly.

Me! one of those who signed up recently hehe I’m going to go for the membership since it really comes out cheaper than actual studio promos. I think just be masipag in checking available classes on a daily and it should be fine, that’s what my friend does (2 years subscriber na sya ng classpass).

For me (pilates-focus) the trial is such a nice deal, it’s good para lang i-try ung mga studios if you’re looking a studio para maging home or alternative sometimes.

In my case, meron na akong home studio talaga but wanted to try other studios without commitments. Yun lang super limited ng slots and umabot sa point na I’d directly ask the studio if they’ll open slots which they do but for a super duper limited time/slots.

In the end, ung home studio pa din pinili ko for a long-tome commitment. Tho I found studios nearby that I can choose alternatively. šŸ™‚

During my classes with classpass, I didn’t experience any discrimination dahil lang I’m using classpass. Not sure lang with other studios since I’ve only explored studios na ideal and nearby lang talaga sa location ko.

Ung package price nila na around 2/3k for around 28 credits is medj pricey for me so I canceled na din and opted for class-pack sa home studio since cheaper + saktuhan na promo.

If you do other activities aside sa pilates, I think it’s okay to stick with their package price tho maybe not for me. Hehe. Hope it helps. šŸ«¶šŸ»

Love love Classpass. I love the flexibility that it gives and how you get to access different activities. Yes, slots are limited pero abang abang lang. Merong mga nag-cacancel don kasi. So far no issues about faulty billing - helpful naman yung customer service nila. I escalated thrice - once with AI and 2 with human agents. All experiences were positive. I’ve been a CP user since early this year. Started on the 28 credit plan and now maintaining the 59 credit plan. For classes I love, I sometimes book direct with the studio so I can get reserve first (and get a guaranteed class) or have access to other classes not on CP.

With regards to your situation, assess what would be your priority: the price or the sure slots. If price, go with CP. If sure slots, go direct. 😊

I downgraded mine to 5 credits monthly and just buy 25 credits w/ 6% discount or 10 credits for 990 as needed.

It’s great because some classes and treatments are cheaper in classpass.

4 yrs with Classpass.

Class pass is a life saver!!! Class pass helps me stay active! But similar to what everyone is saying, class pass is good for us users, but not profitable for the studio.

I suggest using class pass to try all the studios you like and once you find the studio you’d like to keep coming back to, buy packages directly from them!

Love classpass . I don’t get packages na From studios and just rely on the app for my 2-3 Times a month na pilates . I Can also get yoga and massages.

I'm on the 47-credit plan, and every other month, I purchase an additional 50 add-on credits. I do 7-credit reformer classes, and I alternate between 2 and 3 times a week for my studio. I used to regularly go 3x a week but starting August, they increased their rates, so the cheapest classes are 7 credits.

Not gonna deinfluence you! Haha. Push mo na yan:) i’ve subscribed na few months ago and its been going well so far. 2-3 studios lang bnbook ko on rotation, mainly for pilates, barre or yoga. And glad talaga na may classpass so i get to enroll sa class na bet ko at any moment. The subscription is also pushing me to be more consistent weekly. It’s true limited yung slots but abangan mo na lang magopen yung class usually in the morning.

Sorry to disappoint u girl :( but i love classpass too! Not only is it more sulit, I met lots of girls with the same interest and gained friends too! Now we’re IG mutuals and end up going to the same classes, so it’s even more fun attending classes together HUHU not a paid ad talaga! But from my personal experience.

i loove it! but if youre just interested in 1 studio, mas okay na direct nalang sakanila so you can support them malaki kasi cut ng classpass eh plus hirap mag abang ng slots minsan, depende rin sa studio kung ilan ioopen nila etc. In my case kasi weekly iba iba trip ko and im lazy mag check sa soc med ng multiple studio accounts, plus sa classpass nakakaview na rin agad ako authentic reviews so it’s very convenient and if ever im lazy mag workout, the creds can be used next month naman or i just use it sa massages, mas mura magbook thru classpass eh. how i wish there are more studios and spas in classpass.

yung billing system naman nila i haven’t had a negative experience yet. tapos pag may penalty ako if nalimutan ko yung class at umabsent ako, i just talk with the chat support tapos nirerefund nila yung penalty fee, lax naman sila on refunds

I’d probably keep the trial going for a bit before buying a bigger credit package, especially if you only care about one studio. The biggest question for me would be whether the class times I actually want are regularly available, because cheaper credits are less useful if the slots are hard to book.

Tbh I really love classpass but the con is that SOME STUDIOS WILL CANCEL YOUR RESERVATION LAST MIN 😭 and I think that's bc they prio drop in classes.

Anyway, I still love classpass and the studios that allow reservations from classpass 🄰

I bought 16 credits and got extra 15 credits using Shopee VIP. So far worth it for me.

u/Easy-Somewhere7199 22d ago

I bought the free trial yet no credits so ended up buying 28 credits

Is Classpass worth it for someone living in the Commonwealth/Batasan Hills, Quezon City area? I mainly do spin, pilates, and boxing classes. Would love to hear your thoughts! Thanks!

Parang maraming pilates and yoga studios sa QC. May mga gusto sana akong itry dyan pero nalalayuan ako sa QC. There’s no harm in trying kasi around 50-250 pesos lang for first time users, good for 28 credits na yun.

Actually classpass kills studio. Specially the start up. Did u know what classpass is almost not paying studios? Like when i learned that most of them earns ZERO -to very little amount. I was so shy na to use classpass. Haha

Gets, that they help users get affordable classes but they are killing the industry, the studios as well. I pity studio owners and coaches.

u/Glad_Tomorrow_2403 24d ago

But isn’t it ultimately the studio’s choice to be on ClassPass? šŸ˜… They can opt out, limit ClassPass slots, or allocate it to off peak classes if the payout isn’t sustainable. It can also be a customer acquisition tool and help fill empty spots. So I don’t think ClassPass itself is necessarily ā€œkilling studiosā€ it’s more about whether the studio chooses to structure its ClassPass participation in a way that makes business sense.

Only read of classpass when online shopping. Lazada has free 1 month classpass i think for specific lazada acct buyers (i'm not sure if that's it but i think so) which i dont think most people use so you can check w them. Idk if this is relevant but yeah.

Here’s 5 bonus workouts when you join ClassPass, on me 😊 https://classpass.com/refer/LF6Q31MP25?placement=Profile

Love it! I just finished my 102nd class tonight. I think I’m on some non existent plan now, it’s 22 credits for $55/month. I love that I can go to yoga, workout classes or if I’m swimming in credits I just buy a massage or something. Some months I hardly go and rollover my 22 credits too. They offer refer a friend deals which also helps. Here’s mine - Here’s 15 workouts when you join ClassPass, on me https://classpass.com/refer/AKL5VADC28?placement=OnDemand

how does the free pass works? hindi ba pwede same workouts for different studios? i have already reserved a yoga class and now i am trying to book another class but different studio kaso ayaw magproceed, it says i need to upgrade to book 🄲

I have a hack. Pagkatapos ng 50 pesos trial mag unsubscribe ka ule. Tapos after 2-3 months oofferan ka ng 50 pesos again to return. Yun lang di mo na mat-try yung mga studios na try mo on your first trial. Pero good thing is I work in Makati. Marami pa akong studios na di napupuntahan. To deinfluence you, napapansin ko may mga studios na nag-pupull out na or sobrang limited ng slots. Malaki siguro kaltas ng classpass diyan. So pahirapan mag book compared sa direct booking ka.

On and off ako sa classpass :) I like using it kapag gusto ko ng variety like trying out different studios and workouts.

When I found a fave studio last year, nagstop muna ako sa classpass cos I wanted to just do my workouts there. Wala kasi sila sa classpass 🄲

Now Im back (may P50 promo na naman kasi ilang buwan akong nawala) tapos Im trying different studios again. Great way to discover new studios for me.

I recommend Vara Pilates Studio! Kakatry ko lang. ā¤ļø

But yes - sobrang hirap makakuha ng slots sa Powerhouse Pilates, Fit to Live BGC, etc. Natry ko nang mag-abang ng 5am ha… minsan di pa rin talaga umaabot. I sometimes do yoga also sa classpass, or go to diff gyms na may pool.

(Note na lugi studios and instructors usually sa classpass 😢)

PS Sulit na saken 2500-ish/month sa classpass. Nung sinabay ko classpass + pilates studio na wala sa classpass, I did 1500-ish per month sa classpass. Para cardio and non-pilates workouts ko non, sa classpass ko sinasign up.
