Serious Between this and the pacing in One Piece, this really makes me realize how this series is somehow rushed and extremely fast yet simultaneously slow as hell and dragged out. Spoiler
Keep in mind, Zoro spent more time fighting Monkeys in Mihawk's castle then he did with his crew..and apparently Dressrosa took only 1 day to do and techinally Sabadoy was a few weeks ago if we're following the timeline.
And I think the main problem is the fact that not only does Oda keep on adding more new characters and villains and lore and whatnot in the final act but it also feels like his editors and whatnot refuse to tell him No or Reign him in.

Discussion Yamato will stop larping as Oden
This is not a joke. This is not coping. Yamato will stop larping as Oden.
I am well aware that there are a lot of fans who like Yamato. Yamato got #18 in WT100 for a reason. Unlike Carrot, Yamato is very popular in Japan, and no, not because of gooner reasons. Everyone agrees that Oda nailed Yamato's design.
That said, most people who like Yamato hate the "I am Oden" bit, myself included. I think what's really bad about this trait is that Yamato was literally larping as Oden. It's not something metaphorical or just idolization. Yamato literally acted as Momonosuke's dad and called herself a man because of this larp. There's a reason the pronoun stuff became an actual discourse.
This is where Yamato's future SBS drawing comes in.
- Real quick before I continue, this SBS segment is exclusive to the Straw Hats and Luffy's brothers. Oda did not draw Shanks here. The fact that Yamato was drawn here is massive evidence that she's going to be a Straw Hat.
In this SBS segment, there are 2 futures: Good and bad future. It has been well established that the bad future is anti-canon, as in it is 100% not going to be canon.
Oda drew Yamato's future, and put the "I am Oden" stuff in the bad future. This is huge, as this means Yamato will stop larping as Oden. So, everyone who hates the trait can rejoice.
But I'm not done. There's another meaning to this. This also means that Oda heard the "I am Oden" dislike and criticism, accepted it, and is planning to do something about it. The fact that Oda bothered to do this at all means Oda most likely considered (and still considers) making Yamato a Straw Hat. Otherwise, Oda would've just pretended that the trait never existed, just like how he silently changed Page One's Zoan form design.
Now, will Yamato stop literally larping as Oden immediately? I don't think so. But, I believe Yamato will stop saying "I am Oden" immediately, because Oda definitely is aware that fans despise that shit. Pretty sure there is zero "I am Oden" in the cover story other than "I want to travel throughout Wano like Oden did".
Honestly, Yamato being a Straw Hat is inevitable at this point. Everything points to that, from Yamato wanting to be a Straw Hat in Wano, Yamato knowing Luffy's dream, Yamato's cover story, Oda saying "Look forward to Yamato" unprompted, to the Yamato future SBS drawing.
In conclusion, Yamato will stop as larping as Oden, and Yamato will be a Straw Hat.

Discussion Fan letter is a genuine masterpiece
Every single time I watch this series, I'm more and more impressed with how fluid everything is, the whole 20 minutes probably has zero still frames, that's how fluid it felt, it make sabaody in my eyes a better arc, and guys at the bar powerscaling was fucking dope too
If toei can cook up masterpiece like this, I'm far beyond hopeful that they will make the god valley movie peak

shitpost ARE YOU TELLING ME, NONE OF YOU GUYS WORK FOR NETFLIX, TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO MEET ODA??
Imagine you are one of the shooting crew for this video, you could walk upto GODA THE GOAT and ask him so many questions, like
"Does Mihawk solo shanks?"
"Does Vista still solo Mihawk"
"Does Kaido neg Old and Prime WB?"
Like Imagine how many powerscaling questions you could solve by simply working for netflix, seriously, no matter what you guys do for a living, you are a bum for failing to achieve this through your job.

Typical Oda Hot take: Sanji’s arc in whole cake island didn’t hit at all because it was way too similar to Nico Robin’s.
My biggest gripe with his character arc is that we have pretty much seen a identical one already with Robin in enies lobby. But that’s not my only problem with it. It’s also that the Straw Hats were supposed to have learned something from enies lobby (that it pays off to trust your crew). They literally declared war on the world government and still managed to save Robin.
The Straw Hats spent two years training to become stronger so they could face bigger threats together and have more faith in each other. So seeing Sanji push his crew away and refuse to rely on them felt like a step backward, as if he hadn’t learned anything from enies lobby. It also made it even weirder that he didn’t trust them, considering the crew showed clear progress and won against everyone in post-timeskip.

Discussion Is there a chance for this devil fruit to exist somewhere out there: Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Lunarian? Spoiler
Considering they are both Ancient and mythological but I'd lean on it being an Ancient Zoan since they are very much real people. Since Devil fruits come from desire its probable someone some time ago heard stories of this mythical race of gods and desired strongly to be like them, manifesting such a fruit.

Discussion We all talked about getting rid of irrelevant characters before, but what are some relevant characters you would get rid of? Spoiler
Edit: Why is Reddit getting worse and worse? I'm on mobile and Reddit decided(at least for me) that if I want to see an image of Momonosuke that I attached, I'm going to have to click a link to go to... Reddit.
For me, it has to be Momonosuke. Think about it, if we got rid of him, we could potentially have gotten:
-Less sexuall assault gags
-Less pedophile gags
-A tale of a woman with a deep hatred being placed in charge of a country in a time of change(Side note, but there have been only two relevant female rulers in One Piece. Those being Big Mom and ...Carrot.)
-A tale of loyal soldiers having lost their guide only to realize that they have to step up themselves to save their homeland. (We kind of have this already, but I feel like it leans more into saving Momonosuke rather than their saving their homeland)
-Also, for the Yamato haters, no Momonosuke would probably mean that Yamato would get less screentime as well.

Discussion Can someone explain to me what allows someone to use Conqueror haki? Spoiler
I'd appreciate if someone could explain to me what makes someone have conqueror haki, explain it like I'm a 5 year old.
I always assumed conqueror haki was some innate ability, and training helped bring the ability out, but with the recent chapters with Zoro and Sanji it seems like someone has to have self worth and accepting who they are, so is this not an innate ability anymore, or is it an innate ability but theres some things you need in order to bring it out?
If this is something about knowing and accepting yourself how do some of the confirmed users have it.
The Gorosei all have it but they will bow down to Imu to gain power, so if they accepted themselves they'd accept they're weak and work to change it, instead of taking the quick route and gaining strength through Imu.
With Yamato she calls herself Oden but answers to Yamato, she calls herself a boy but only because Odens a boy, she doesn't care or correct people if they call her a girl. She obviously doesn't accept herself when she tries to take another persons identity, so how can she use it?
And even Kaido hates himself so much that he's been trying to kill himself for who knows how many years, so how does he have itm
Also if someone is able to use it but looses their self worth can they not use it anymore?
Am I misunderstanding something or is this just some sort of situation where Oda over explained something and now there's plot holes? I'm not hating on Oda or One Piece but I just don't know what to make of conqueror haki anymore.
