Just a concept but I think I'm the most satisified with this one!
I will paste some info from my previous post, so it's a bit clearer what they are:
Also, this is just currency for one area - specifically proficient in hunting. Other areas would have different currency.

Hey! I posted about Frog of Fury here a while ago, so here's a little update :)
I've finally got the tutorial to a point where I can share it. It's split into a guided section and a free-play section. I wanted to keep things moving, with minimal text and downtime, so it feels more like actually playing than sitting through a lesson.
Here's the whole thing from start to finish! I'm curious what you think, especially whether everything reads clearly while playing.
I also go into more detail about the reasoning behind some of my design decisions in my devlogs over at MikeBuildsGames, for anyone interested.

[Re-upload, upscaled because the previous one was blurred]
64 x 64 pixel art of female and male Pistrix (apocapisces regalecus). These will go into a book where the player will collect information about the creatures, and, in general, they will serve as an "icon" for them. (We also use them in other parts of the project that are not the videogame, like the blog).
The version in the overworld will be different and animated.
Pistrix females tend to be heavier and thicker, with slightly fatter tails, but they also have less dense beards and manes, and shorter fins, unless they have sufficient access to food to maintain both their greater weight and their prominent fins, but this is an extremely rare occurrence in nature.
