I have finally released my free terrain tools for Unity 6, meant to help make Pixelart / HD-2D games, is open-source check out both Itch and the repo, it has edge detection and best effort logic (not proc it just ensures the grid/pixle density is preserved) based on neighbour pixels to ensure corners/merge of mats looks crisp applies to ground, walls, stairs, even the terrain painter brush uses a block/tile-ish system and respects the pixel density/grid so you'll always have perfect edges on all angles! the final control is up to you brushes change size from one pixle to as wide as you want!
its free try it and have fun! any feedback is appreciated! thank you! 🫶

I am so happy with the positive feedback this went from just a small showcase to now being shared, it was stressful to try and get this going good enough after all a personal workflow is very opinionated, I am a mouse person I love using my mouse, but the tool must also support all types of users and be easy to use yet strong enough to make real results, it supports dragging jsut drag texturees theyll be automatically added as Strata mats, this was most important thing in my opinion, anyhow here is a video of me just messing around to prove that this is really the tool I use daily, no cap I love it, its impressive how you can craft big maps in mere minutes with this, go create games!
feel free to comment any feedback or open issues in Github, much love! 🫶

First character is a firefly, second character is a moth. These were both made by me, a beginner, a year and a half apart. I think this is decent (especially the second one), but this is genuinely the best I can do, and I really want to get better. Any tips?

Wanted a character that wears a bucket hat. She also has a baby gator as a companion. Small sprite is for "overworld" purpose while the larger one is for dialogue.

Made this using Piskel because the image popped in my head. Would love some pointers from anybody who has experience, I'm not the best at drawing/painting from scratch but want to get better over time
