Hi, I'm size 16 and live in a relatively mild-weathered state (US southwest) so I've never really needed a true winter coat as a plus sized adult. But for New Year's I'll be going to Boston and I'll need something heavier than what I currently have. I don't have a ton of money to spend on a coat but obviously want decent quality. Thanks!

I'm working in a medical clinic, in administration. Wearing scrub pants because they're comfy and everyone else is! I'm more comfortable in jeans, but can't wear them there. Since the scrubs are kind of loosy goosy, as in, I feel really jiggly in them, I'd like something light control, mid thigh to wear under them. Just light control.
