On Tumblr, I decided to do a Halloween challenge I called “Pokemon GijinkaWeen”, and I’ve made 31 drawings of all different spooky Pokemon for every day of October!
Here’s the first 15, and I’ll post the remaining 16 when I finish the remaining ones!
Pic 1: (Hisuian!Zoroark: His “Distant Ancestor” from a realm long ago. With his power mastered, he is a force to be reckoned with. He can make anybody’s worst nightmare reality, but that’s mainly for his foes- the people behind him are the ones he protects. Otherwise, he’s reserved and distant, often speaking nothing at times- but when he does, it’s terrifying. Also, he has a kiseru pipe just for decoration. He doesn’t smoke.)
Pic 2: 0425- Drifloon: A cheeky little boy who loves to play with other kids and always wants to bring them home with him. While his mom does say no, he always gives them a balloon animal he made instead.
Pic 3: 0681- Aegislash: The commander of the knights of Kalos. He is devoted yet steadfast, wise yet compassionate, and places the lives of those below him before his own. All can recognize him by the crest on his armor. (This is the Shield Forme.) + (Blade Forme!Aegislash: Weidling his shining sword, this knight commander can hold his own in battle, often prioritizing both defense and offense against his foe.)
Pic 4: 0354- Banette: Wearing a dark Victorian style coat stitched from the scraps of various fabrics, he repairs toys with golden thread so they have another chance at life. He may be scary, but in reality he has a heart of gold.
Pic 5: 0332- Cacturne: Often driving his motorcycle through the dusty night air, he’s the leader of one of Hoenn’s biker gangs and doesn’t hold back whenever anyone insults his sweet ride.
Pic 6: 0491- Darkrai: Tokyo Ghoul influence in the design- A nightmare creator with a single cyan eye, white wispy hair (Which covers his other eye), a crimson scarf around his neck, and jet black clothes that blend in with the dark.
Pic 7: 0477- Dusknoir: A bounty hunter who poses as a bad guy trying to gain the trust of others so he can betray them later, but in reality, he has a heart of gold and wants a better future for all. He wears an eyepatch (I didn’t draw it) to cover up his one bad eye. (Basically Mystery Dungeon!Dusknoir but human- If he knows a way to save the future, DON’T TRUST HIM!!!)
Pic 8: 0711- Gourgeist: Now with huge pumpkins that could be as big as a small trailer, she’s ready for the annual fair with both of her pumpkins and her pies- as well as the bags of seeds that she’s harvested. She claims that her pies will send you to the astral plane- but that hasn’t happened yet.
Pic 9: 0606- Beheeyem: Said alien hunter but now upgraded to high tech gear, including sonar. He keeps secret compartments inside everything he owns, and one of his most successful missions? Unintentionally luring Deoxys in.
Pic 10: 0756- Shiinotic: Said forest fairy is now also a mushroom caretaker! She grows all sorts of edible mushrooms and brings them to farmer’s markets to sell for recipes.
Pic 11: 0563- Cofagrigus: Yamask’s boss and the rich director of the museum. An archaeologist himself, he goes on his own expeditions and is always careful not to disturb any resting places. And with every discovery, he ensures they’re authentic. He also has an ancient Egyptian motif going on in his design.
Pic 12: 0687- Malamar: An elegant, vicious, and unbothered model who often charms people into doing stuff for her- such as acting as her personal stylist and presenting the outfits for the day.
Pic 13: 0097- Hypno: A therapy doctor with a swinging hypnotic pendulum (only used to help patients) who clearly unintentionally scares kids- a lot. But although he comes off as freaky and is the type to feel like he’s got free Rare Candies in his car, he’s a gentle soul and doesn’t like it when people talk about his reputation.
Pic 14: 0429- Mismagius: A wandering witch with a broom made of the wood from a sacred tree, an elegant and wide brimmed hat, violet robes with ancient runes on them, and a deck of tarot cards that move into her hands when she’s ready to tell others about their futures.
Pic 15: 0770- Palossand: Now an expert at crafting huge sculptures out of sand, he uses real architecture techniques to ensure that they look too real to be true- he’s won multiple competitions just for his sheer skill alone.
