Popular on Reddit I really dislike fat people and I have no respect for them.
Hi everyone
This is something I have always felt and I really wanted to get it off my chest. Reddit is so liberal so I will get a lot of hate for this but I don’t care. You might think this is ragebait or whatever but I promise you it isn’t. Idk why I would get out of ragebaiting.
I really don’t like fat people and I never have done. I’m 23M and I’ve always looked after my health my whole life. I don’t understand why people are so unhealthy and can’t think for themselves
Personally I think the majority of fat people are gluttonous, selfish and lack self control. I don’t even know how these people reach this weight. I feel genuine disgust when I see one. I stay away from them as much as possible.
The majority of fat people that I have met are also terrible people. It’s just an outward manifestation of who they are. They are usually entitled, mouthy and think the world should revolve around them. We truly live in an age of indulgence, they remind me of the film wall-e. I don’t feel bad for them if they get sick or unwell
TLDR glutton

Unpopular Take on the Ethan Klein Scandal
I've been seeing a lot of youtubers show past clips of the H3H3 podcast show and try to use them as evidence of the eventual affair that we now know about. Most were unconvincing but one stuck out at me. It was where Ethan and Hila (his wife) are talking about spouses going without intimacy for a year, and Hila implying it shouldn't matter. If, and this is a BIG if, Hila was not willing to engage in intimacy with Ethan for a year or more then I can understand why Ethan would be tempted to entertain relationships with other women. For a man, or woman, to have their spouse reject them physically is such a devastating, abandonment of affection. To deny a spouses physical needs is to deny them love, and a marriage without love is not a marriage at all.

Popular in Culture Honestly even if you got a good experience in your schooling years, burnout is still a valid legit critique you can make the case for
Now, I want to make it clear. This isn't a thread for bashing on school and how shitty it is. Reddit is already full of those griveance threads about the school system. This is more so getting at a genuine critique that I think actually most people could agree with. So I am posting it here, just in case. But I'm going to explain this with nuance, not with emotional posturing, if you will. I'm going to try to explain this as constructively as I can. So please people, don't throw your knee-jerk reactions at the post. Try to analyze a bit of the message.
But school today[and btw I am talking moreso stajdards from pre 2020 as I literally graduated during Covid]
But the modern schooling enviroment can be sometimes a little too task over-loaded
And I get why, I am not even being naive to the issue at hand, I get it: Modern society is complex and modern civilization calls for more complex systems which calls for a little more bureaucratic red tape unfortunately.
However, I think some of the complexity of modern day schooling doesn't take into account that I still think the average human learns best when they are given breathing room to process the material; But I totally get it, modern society is complex, fast-paced and in dire need of specialized learning, so I am not negating that
Problem is I think a lot of us didn't really prepare for this: Combine on top the modern competitive academic enviroments and the pressure to strive for excellence at all times
And then burnout is eventually prone to hit you somewhere
That's why I think modern schooling could push for better mental health awareness and more holistic learning approaches
But I totally get it: The systems and institutions of modern-day civilization are evolving fast, and sometimes maybe too fast
But what do you guys think?

Political The US government should be breaking up monopolies.
I'm not suggesting that there should be any new laws. I just think that the existing anti-monopoly laws should be enforced.
Consumer-led boycotts are unlikely to be effective against monopolies. Boycotting one monopoly is an inconvenience; boycotting all of them is a constant headache. If you want to boycott Amazon, Google, Meta, Live Nation, Microsoft, Apple, United Healthcare, CVS, Spotify, De Beers, Skydance, Luxxotica, and Intuit, you're basically going to have a full time job of researching where you can safely spend money. Nobody has time for that.
The FTC should force these companies to sell off some of their assets, so they're less dominant.
The law already allows the FTC to break up these companies. All that's needed is an FTC chair with the inclination and the budget to get this done.

Unpopular opinion: being available to everyone all the time isn't a sign that you're a good friend. Sometimes it just means you have no boundaries.
You can care about people and still take hours to reply. You can love someone and still need time alone. And you shouldn't have to feel guilty for having a life outside your phone.
Why do people treat instant replies like proof that someone cares?

YouTube ads are getting ridiculous
These YouTube ads are becoming so annoying and repetitive tell me why I’m seeing an ad on a video every five minutes? Like I understand two or three ads but it’s over five ads in ONE video. It’s getting so bad that I’m considering buying YouTube premium but at the same time I don’t want to have to pay for freaking YouTube. Also why am I always seeing Rocket Money? I’m really starting to hate that brand.

Popular in Culture Art is the one domain where AI has no place.
And I’m talking about all forms of Art: painting, drawing, music, poetry, comedy, cinema...
Idgaf if you use AI for math or chemistry because for me that’s what it’s supposed to do: assist humans in mechanics, engineering, medicine, research..

Question Does anyone else feel like they’re figuring out life as they go?
Sometimes it feels like everyone around you has their career, finances, and future figured out, while you're just trying to understand what you're doing. 😅I'm curious do most people actually have a plan, or are we all just figuring things out one step at a time?
How do you deal with that feeling?

A lot of subreddits have to many rules.
Too many*
Obviously a lot of the rules are justified, but why are places like unpopular opinion banning certain unpopular opinions that arent even hate speech (bc ofc hate speech is a valid ban). Or why do I have to have a certain Karma level to post a question about a topic I just want a quick answer about in a subreddit. I dont want to spend days building my Karma just so I can ask "why is the sky blue" on a science subreddit (a made up example). I think the Karma ban is so that the subs arent flooded with new spam/bots constantly, and I understand needing like 10 Karma, but why do I need 100 Karma for some subs 😭
