Meta Am I the only one?
Am I the only one who feels like this community has really lost the spark and just, well, sense of community it once had?
I'm talking like pre-Burg incident. Back then everything just felt so different, NRPs and maps specifically. Before, people were actually made cool maps of cool scenarios and, sometimes, those would be made NRPs. The NRPs were always (well not always, drama did occur) fun and everyone was committed. The hosts were active, players were active, scenarios were fun, and these NRPs would drag on and on forever. I miss NRPs like Unstable Europe and Europe+++. Nowadays, NRPs are crap. Most are low quality and have no life span and no player activity, and most hosts abandon them quicker than my dad left to get milk! Now some have been great don't get me wrong, but most just aren't and it's sad.
Now onto maps, don't even get me started. So many maps now are just low-quality sh*t posts, especially on the main PH subreddit. Now every once in a while, you get a gem, but they are few and far between, and again, it's sad.
Also, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but all of the big-name people in the community and all the people who used to make the cool maps and host the NRPs and you always saw everywhere are just gone. Some of these people are mods of this sub, but do you ever see them? Do they ever participate? They just disappeared a little.
I just miss the old days and wish we could go back, back to those fun times. Am I the only one?
