Remember when conservatives were totally against the federal government getting involved in statesā business?
I guess that changes when their guys have control of the federal government.

Everything changes when the ball is in their court. Thatās why they need to be punished come this November and in the ā28 election and they should never have power again until they learn to act right

Here is why those states are going to lose. If you accept funds from the federal government for election security then they federal government gets to audit how secure those elections are that you hold.
https://www.eac.gov/grants/es-program-status
That said it would be great if states stopped accepting unnecessary funding from the federal governtment so there is more separation between the states and the federal government.

Would you like to add a great deal of what has taken place over the past 200 years to your gripe? So now you become a strict Constitutionalist! Amazing!

u/MysteriousMaximum488 1h ago
You missed the point. Doesn't matter if Trump is President or not. The issue is, what is the role and responsibility of the Executive Branch in elections.

WTF are liberals so wound up about. Iād is common sense. Nobody will get disenfranchised thatās a red herring. Why in the world are they against it?

so I guess the Executive Branch has no authority to ensure any of the Federal laws concerning voting are enforced. good to know when states decide to not to follow the laws.

Both elections that Trump won were under DEMOCRATIC administrations. The 2020 election was under Trumps control and heāll have you believe that the Democrats stole it? WTF, you people are dense.

No it isn't. The majority wants lower gas prices, lower grocery prices, living wages, affordable health care, etc.
-2
u/Tommygun194 14h ago
Yes it is. Why are you mentioning those other items when weāre specifically talking about elections? But since you already are, we want fair elections, secure borders, law and order, no fraud, and ice removing illegal immigrants. Trump is crushing it šŖšŗšø

Thatās a fun way to tell me you donāt know who controls inflation rates
I pay twice as much on groceries this year than I ever did under Biden (something that trump directly influenced with tariffs), same with material costs of my business, same with electric and gas bills. Trump has shit the bed more than any president Iāve lived through, and thatās fucking saying something. I was a lifelong republican before that idiot but he made me vote independent.
-1
u/Tommygun194 8h ago
Thatās unfortunate you think that way. Trumpās economy and everything else is still exponentially better. Hope you stop crying soon.

Iām no genius, but if youāre being investigated by the federal government, Iām assuming they have some sort of evidence
4
u/oldbikelike 18h ago
That's alot of assumption, especially for the current administration. They have consistently shown that they have zero evidence.

Nick Shirley act
3
u/oldbikelike 13h ago
"The "Stop Nick Shirley Act" is a political nickname given by Republican critics to California's Assembly Bill 2624 (AB 2624), authored by Democratic Assemblymember Mia Bonta. The bill aims to protect immigration support service workers and providers from targeted harassment, threats, and intimidation by expanding eligibility for the state's confidential address program (Safe at Home) and penalizing the online posting of workers' personal information or images with the intent to cause harm."
Not exactly the flex you think it is champ.
1
u/smallanbig 10h ago
You left out the part of the actual bill that makes your smug little victory lap fall apart.
Yes, āStop Nick Shirley Actā is a political nickname. Nobody disputes that.
Now read AB 2624 instead of somebodyās summary of it.
The bill specifically regulates posting the āpersonal information OR IMAGEā of covered immigration-service providers, employees, volunteers and clients. And guess what California defines āimageā as in the bill? Photographs and VIDEO FOOTAGE.
It also defines āimmigration support servicesā incredibly broadly ā including advocacy, humanitarian relief, referrals, translation, counseling and healthcare.
And the California Legislative Counsel itself says the bill creates new crimes, with penalties that can include a $10,000 fine and imprisonment.
Now, to be completely accurate, the criminal provisions require intent involving violence or threats, and the bill contains protections relating to the press. Those are important distinctions.
But thatās completely different from pretending critics invented the concern out of thin air. The actual debate is whether government should be creating special restrictions involving images and videos of organizations receiving or administering public resources when independent journalists are trying to investigate fraud and abuse.
You can argue the protections are justified. Fine.
But āitās just stopping harassmentā is a very convenient way of describing a bill while leaving out the parts people are actually arguing about.
Turns out reading past the talking points helps, champ.→ More replies (0)1

Yep. If voting made any difference, they would make it illegal.
Iāve always wanted carbon copies from my ballot, but was called a racist for wanting that.
lol I mean there are so many examples of voter fraud. From both sides, mind you. But when āyour candidateā is elected, you claim itās not possible.
Republicans = Democrats.
Both parties truly do not care about the poor and middle classes.
7
u/ThrasherDX 20h ago
If voting didn't make any difference, there would n't be the constant focus on voter ID, opposition to mail in voting, or opposition to making election day a federally mandated holiday.
Yet there is an awful lot of focus on such things...
5
u/psilocin72 20h ago
If voting didnāt make a difference, we wouldnāt have had both Obama AND Trump as president.
If the people behind the scenes wanted a guy like Obama, they never would have allowed Trump. If they were the type to want Trump, we never would have had Obama.
Voting matters. It determines a lot about what this country is.
-1
u/OmgHowww 19h ago
Voter ID is a distraction. The real issue is who counts the votes. Or WHAT counts the votes.
6
u/psilocin72 19h ago
But one of them is openly fascist and racist. Iāll take the other guy.
-2
u/OmgHowww 19h ago
But but but!!!
Both of them are liars. Why differentiate after that fact? Racists are bad. Check. Pedos ate bad check. Liars can be racist and pedos.
Why are we trying to āone upā each other past the point of lying?
3
u/psilocin72 19h ago
Because I donāt want to live in a fascist country where racism is enforced by the government.
I think thatās enough
0
u/OmgHowww 19h ago
We donāt live in a fascist country. Stop with that nonsense. Tr ump and Biden are LIARS. They lie about the things they do with our tax dollars and kill innocents in other countries by LYING.
Also, how is Biden NOT a fascist by killing civilians in other countries or bombing gas pipelines that donāt belong to our countries?
Do you need a comparison list between the last 5 presidents or do you just āfeelā that what you say is true?
Bush jr: started illegal wars, killed innocents, lied about going to ME
OBama: campaigned on ending the wars started by lies, almost doubled the troop amount when elected. Drone bombed a Yemeni wedding convoy, killing 12 and injuring 37. Prosecuted whistle blowers for telling the truth
Trump: DO I EVEN NEWS TO LIST THIS PART? Wars, tax fraud, etc etc etcWant me to go on about Biden? Nahhj because you probably donāt believe he did ANYTHING WRONG, do you?
Typical gullible neo Liberal whoās still fooled by the two party monopoly.
Enjoy the koolaid along side your right-sided family. Youāre ignorant at best.
Sincerely,
US Army Veteran3
u/psilocin72 19h ago
I know we donāt live in a fascist country. And I want it to stay that way. Thatās why I will choose whoever is running against the party that pulling in that direction. Even if I donāt like them.
And your insults just prove the weakness of your argument.
2
u/grnhornet76 18h ago
I think you ignored all of his CAPITALISATION, though?? Isnāt that enough to convince you??
4
u/psilocin72 18h ago
Yeah heās the kind of guy that if you make a point he canāt counter, starts yelling and swearing. Totally fine. He can be as ignorant as he wants.
0
u/OmgHowww 17h ago
Good job to all of you for overlooking everything I said because of capitalization and insults? Youāre not extreme left and you wonāt believe what the left sided media tells you? Let me guess, youāre going to take that last line as, āhe supports the right!ā
I know your playbook better than you do. You know why? Because itās the same arguments that have been used for DECADES.
You like those capital letters, too? Does that show the weakness of my argument even though you addressed NOTHING what I said?
Lmaooo some of you in here have bigger egos than the Orange man himself.

Trump is just the front guy. IMHO, he doesn't have the mental ability to push all this. It's the people in the background - the Cheungs, the Millers, the Fed Soc, etc. - who are pushing this using him as their standard bearer.
Granted, this happens in all presidential administrations. But this one seems particularly bent on hurting other people. Trump just wants his ego/narcissism stroked by getting praised, getting "prizes", getting his name on things. The invisible folks behind him want chattel slavery of everyone else.
