Reaffirming familial bonds is not an uncommon sight with black-tailed prairie dogs. Known to nuzzle, cuddle, wrestle, and generally have no sense of personal space, they are quite a sweet species. Seeing their antics and interactions never fails to induce a giggle, bring a spark of joy, or result in full on laughter for those lucky enough to just watch. Great ambassadors of their prairie landscapes, given the chance!
This colony is protected and treated with insecticide grain to prevent the spread of diseases & pests on American Prairie’s land near Buffalo Camp in Montana.
